Are worn carbon brushes noisy or do I have a Bearing in trouble.

you might get a clicking noise from the brushes but it wont be loud ( its metal on metal sound ) but bearings will sound like an aeroplane taking off ( very loud )

When on a fast spin it is extremely loud, too loud...

Water in bearings causes rust, and rust in bearings creates noise...This is the most likely reason for the noisy spin....Check for any slop in inner drum....Bearings and seals and likely the shaft probably need to be replaced....Quite a big and complex job....Good luck....Nomess

Fan makes loud noise when i start car

Firstly we need to know what model etc. Noisy fan if viscus could be the viscus itself - fan blade hitting something on the shroud / housing. First check & make sure the small bolts haven't shaken lose. Good luck

Loud thumping sound

It's probably time for new drum support rollers. There are two rollers the drum rides on and their bearings can fail, which makes them noisy and also makes the drum wobbly while it turns. Replacing the rollers isn't difficult, and you can do it yourself if you feel comfortable working with hand tools and are patient.
