Your Toro electric trimmer parts are readily available through www.partstree.com . However, to avoid having to pay $10 in shipping for a $5 part, you should try to find your local Toro dealer. They probably have the part in stock. Go to www.toro.com and search on the dealer/distributor locator to find your closest dealer.
You will need to know the model number (5 digit) and serial number for your trimmer. These can be located on a small sticker on the trimmer.
Good luck!

What is the price of toro weed eater??

Be aware that "weed eater" is a registered trade mark of "WeedEater". What you want is the price of a Toro String Trimmer. Here are Home Depot's prices:

How do you add trimmer line to Troy Bilt TB539E Weed Eater?

This model trimmer uses .095" diameter line, your local home improvement store will carry replacement line and it will also carry a replacement spool with the line already spooled on it.

This trimmer is a "bump advance" trimmer meaning you bump the head on the ground while it is spinning to advance line out.

What to do to replace the line is place the trimmer on a stable flat surface (like a workbench), raise up the head if the trimmer and unscrew the cap and CAREFULLY remove the spool...you do not want to lose the spring! Take a look at the spool, it will show the direction to spool the line, spool the line then replace the spool by first putting the spring back on the shaft, then put the end of the line through the hole(s) on the side of the outer head, press the spool in place and screw the cap back on.

Of course you can eliminate about 90% of the headaches by buying a pre-spooled head at your local home improvement store...then you follow the directions above and can skip the spooling part. Cheers!

I don't need a manual - I need a replacement handle

if your refering to the batt handle then its a obsolete item with no replacement part number. your part # is 243215-00 and your best bet is to sell it or put lots of ducktape or epoxy or keep checking ebay

I can not put the string on my weed eater

Remove the bolt holding the spool in place. Unscrew the cap and turn the spool. that should give you access to the spindle that holds the line. Put the new line in the starter hole and reverse the process. You should be ready to go now

I have a Toro 12 inch Toro Electric trimmer and I can't get the spool off to change. Any solution?

I am having the same problem - the spool should just come off by turning it counter-clockwise but is completely stuck. This model does not have any tabs that need to be pushed in to get the spool off. Very frustrating!

I have a Toro 12 inch Toro Electric trimmer and I can't get the spool off to change. Any solution?

I have an 11" Toro trimmer and was having trouble deciphering the symbols on the base. The key is having a method to gain some opposing force to unscrew the cap that holds the spool. I have an oil filter wrench called the round wrench. It is a steel bar with an attached length of rubber belt that can tighten around cylindrical objects. I used that to oppose the unlock direction on the trimmer and "voila", no tabs to push no trick with the button, you just need o_1089.jpg_1088.jpg_1087.jpgpposing force.

I have a Toro 12" electric weed eater and the line needs changed. Both of my brothers, my brother in law and my son have tried to get the bottom off (where the line goes) but it will not move. They tried...

If the knob on the spool has two small rectangular slots on opposite sides, try inserting screwdrivers in each one at the same time and then turn the spool slightly. This might allow it to pop off.
