What spa pump replaces the Sta Rite model # K48M5A3

That number is off the motor portion of the nameplate and is of little use in identifying your pump. There should be a small silver tag with black writing on it that includes the pump model and serial numbers...please post that info if it is available. If not, can you send a picture of it?

That model number you gave is the motor model number. I can however tell you that motor is a 1.5hp motor. So if your just looking to replace the motor make sure you get a 1.5 hp, with the same service factor as the old one. If your looking to replace the whole pump, then technically any 1.5 horse pump will be fine, but there are several factors you should consider. For example if your running popups, or water features, you want a medium or high head pump. There are many different makes and models of pumps out there, so you have many choices. without knowing your application, hard to recommend a replacement. Also depending on your local, suppliers in different parts of the country will carry different equipment. Hope this helps. I have a older spa with a Sta Rite pump motor. Without removing the damaged pump I was able to see the model number of the pump through a mirror. I beleive it reads K48M5A3, is there any way that you can...

That would definitely be the model number. The K indicates Capacitor start and run, the 48 indicates the frame size, and the "M" indicates horsepower (1.5 hp, in your case). If your replacing the motor, make sure you get the same Horsepower and Service Factor ratings. Hope this helps.
