Maytag H2O MFI2568AES Ice Maker keeps jamming

Most ice and water units have heater elements inside the door and in the ice chute itself to prevent water and ice from freezing in those areas. Its possible that one of the heater elements has failed. You will need a wiring diagram and a meter to test if the element is OK or not.

I have a jenn-air jcd2389ges. The hole in the door where the ice comes down into your cup is broken. i believe the foam piece is busted

Here is a kit of the most likely parts that you are talking about=> 12001991 Ice Dispenser Solenoid and Door Kit Just disconnect the power and turn water off before beginning to ddisassemble the fispenser components seen here=> JCD2389GES Dispenser Components
1. Unplug the refrigerator power cord.
2. Remove the overflow grille from the housing.
3. Unsnap front cover at the bottom of the housing.
(using a flat blade screwdriver, and tape or pad, twist the screw driver, or pry out the bottom trim using the molded slots in the bottom of the trim panel).
4. Disconnect the front cover switch harness connector and set the cover aside.
5. Disconnect the power wire harness connector (BL/BK and W wires)
6. Disconnect the flapper door heater wire harness connector (if one is present).
7. Release the dispenser microswitch retainers and slide the switches off of their locator pins. Carefully handle the switches so they do not come apart.
8. Disconnect the wires from the terminals of the lamp holder.
9. Remove the two 1/4. hex head screws from the control bracket and remove the control bracket.
10. Remove the 1/4. hex head screw to remove the water fitting (fill spout) from the water dispenser lever.
11. Unsnap the ice guide and remove it from the ice dispenser lever.
12. Remove the air pot by sliding the rear of the air pot out of the slot molded to the dispenser housing and slip the linkage out of the flapper door mechanism assembly.
13. Unsnap the flapper door and remove it from the ice dispenser lever. While you remove the flapper door, carefully guide the flapper door heater wire and connector over the door mechanism assembly.
14. Remove the 1/4. hex head screw securing the dispenser levers pivot retainer to the dispenser housing and remove the retainer.
15. Remove the water dispenser lever.
16. Remove the ice dispenser lever by maneuvering it around the door mechanism assembly.
17. Pull the pin from the door mechanism assembly and remove the spring and mechanism assembly.
18. Reassemble in reverse order.

No water to icemaker, but through the door water is working. Ice maker itself is ok.

This is most likely cause because some part of the ice maker/distribution mechanism is broken. If at all possible, remove everything from the fridge and freezer and allow the freezer to thaw. If that is not possible, you could try and remove just the ice maker to thaw it or try and thaw it while it is still in the freezer. I hope this helps and have a nice day!

Whirlpool side by side ice maker not making ice

The first thing I would check is water through the door. If pressure is low replace the saddle valve that taps into the water line. If you have strong pressure then you can remove the front panel of the icemaker and take a piece of wire and strip it at both ends. Stick it into the T and H holes on the ice maker. This will put it into harvest mode. Leave the wire in the unit until you hear a click then remove (about 15 secs) If the rake cycles all the way around without filling then you probably have a water supply issue (inlet or solenoid valve) Also check your fill tube and make sure its not frozen. If the fill tube is frozen remove it and clear it and replace your saddle valve.

Good luck. Hope this helped _MJ_

Small amount of water leaks from the front of my Samsung R2630SH.

I found out that there is a plastic panel that cools three draws inside the refrigerator. Behind the plastic panel there is an evaporator (coolant childer) that catches the condensation of repeatedly opening and closing the refrigerator door that turns into thick ice. Because of condensation, ice buildup in such a way that the ice pushes the middle draw out causing the door to open. In turn depending on how long the door stays open, melts the ice and the water leaks under the bottom draw out on either side of the front refrigerator door. Also, there is a drain plug that is also iced closed. To solve that problems, the unplug the refrig, put towel under the refrig, removed the panel (unplugging the wires and removing screws) and took a hair blow dryer to melt the ice. Oh, by the way, I used to blow dryer to melt the ice from the panel before I could remove the panel. That job took all day. I removed all the ice and reassembled the panel and replace the drawers. To my amazing, no more leaks and the water dispenser worked for two days and quit. I believed the water tank (plastic container in front of the panel has frooze again. By the way the ice maker did not work after removing the ice.

Fridge freezer door ice maker

the ice maker controls the seloniod the icemaker wire arm must be all the way down .just because the seloniod test good doesnt mean the valve seat isnt stuck the water valves open by your house water pressure if your filter is dirty this can also lower the pressure if the icemaker module is bad this also can cause it if you pull the front of the ice-maker off you will se a bunch of holes if you get a piece of 10 Gage house strip about 1/4 inch off either side and insert it into the holes marked t and h that will test cycle the ice maker they will be close together don't get shocked if the ice maker cycles and doesnt fill and the ice maker fill tube isn't frozen replace the water valve if the ice-maker doesn't cycle replace the brown motor module

Frigidair frs22zrf side by side w/ front ice and water

From what you are describing, it sounds like you need a valve. Another common thing I run into is the cooling tank inside the fridge freezing. This will usually affect water through the door only. Remove the crispers and you should see a large coil of plastic water line attached to the back wall of fridge. You can check to see if it is frozen by blowing through it from the end of the line you removed from valve. BEWARE, if you blow through it, water will come out dispenser if line is not frozen. Have a towel at front of fridge.
