The HP Customer Care site says that if th check paper and check print cartridge lights are blinking, it is most likely that the carriage assembly, which holds the ink cartridges has stalled against the left side of the printer.

HP includes extensive troubleshooting instruction for correcting this problem at the following link:

Hope this helps... their support site has been very helpful to me in on several

occasions.

Light is flashing on Resume on my HP Deskjet F2110 All-in-One printer scanner copier. What does that means?

Regular paper, envelopes, or specialty media may get stuck or jammed in the printer. Follow the instructions below to find and remove jammed paper (or other media) from the printer. If the HP All-in-One has a paper jam, first check the rear door. If the jammed paper is not in the rear rollers, check the front door.

Step one: Check for and remove any paper stuck in the paper In tray

  1. Remove all loose paper from the paper In tray.
  2. Press the RESUME button.
    • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four
    • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next step below.
  • If more than one sheet is stuck in the printer, remove the paper, one sheet at a time by taking hold of a sheet in the middle of the stack and, with both hands and firm, even pressure, pull the sheet towards you. Usually, removing one or two sheets from the middle of the stack will release the pressure and the rest of the stack can be removed.
  • After removing the paper, check to make sure no scraps of paper are stuck in the printer.
    • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four.
    • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next section.

  • Step two: Clearing a paper jam from the back of the printer

If the paper jam is not accessible from the In tray, follow the instructions below to clear the paper from the back of the printer.
    1. Unplug the HP All-in-One.
    2. Press in the tab on the left side of the rear door to release the door. Remove the door by pulling it away from the HP All-in-One. Figure 1: Removing the rear door

    1. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. caution.png
CAUTION:If the paper tears when removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If all of the pieces of paper are not removed from the HP All-in-One, more paper jams are likely to occur.
    2. Replace the rear door. Gently push the door forward until it snaps into place.
    3. Press Cancel to continue the current job.
      • If the paper jam is cleared, skip to Step Four
      • If the paper is still jammed, continue on to the next section.

Step three: Lift the front cover and slowly remove any jammed paper

    1. Unplug the power cable.
    2. If necessary, pull the input tray down to open it. Then, lower the print cartridge door. Figure 2: Lowering the print cartridge door

    1. Gently pull the paper out of the rollers. caution.png
CAUTION:If the paper tears when while removing it from the rollers, check the rollers and wheels for torn pieces of paper that might be remaining inside the device. If all the pieces of paper are not removed from the HP All-in-One, more paper jams are likely to occur.
    2. Close the print cartridge door.
Figure 3: Closing the print cartridge door

    4b07607d-706b-46d4-8067-d6d9c380a6ec.jpg
    1. Plug the power cable into the HP All-in-One.
    2. Turn the power on.
    3. Press Start Copy Black or Start Copy Color to continue the current job.

Step four: Verify the print cartridge carriage can move freely

    1. Unplug the power cable.
    2. Check to see if the print cartridge carriage can move freely from one side of the printer to the other. If the carriage is to the right and out of plain view, skip to Step Five. Do not try to force it to move if it is hung up on something. [img src="http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf-JAVA/Image/common/note.png" alt="">
NOTE:Be careful not to force the print cartridge carriage. If the carriage is stuck, forcing it to move will damage the printer.
      • If the carriage does not move, continue with the next step below.
  • Remove the print cartridges.
  • Step five: Reload and test the printer

Once the jammed paper is removed, verify that the printer is still functioning properly.
    1. Reload the printer with plain paper.
    2. Perform a self-test by pressing and holding the Resume button until the printer starts printing. A test page should print.
    note.png
NOTE:Do not put more than 35 sheets of plain paper in the document feeder tray.
  • Gently move the print cartridge to the far right of the printer.
  • Remove the paper from the paper In tray, but do not remove the drawer.
  • Remove the rear access door.
  • With your fingers, rotate the rollers "up" three full rotations.
  • Push the rear access door back into the printer until it snaps firmly into place.
  • Replace the print cartridges.
  • Plug the power cable into the HP All-in-One.
  • Turn the power on.

  • Step six: Service the printer

Perform all the steps mentioned above. If the problem continues, service the printer.
Cause Paper jams can be caused by several factors. Follow these guidelines to prevent further paper jams.
    • Insert paper into the paper tray only until it meets resistance. Do not push it farther in.
    • Make sure that the paper is flat in the paper tray and that the guide is adjusted to the width of the paper.
    • Do not add paper while the product is printing.
    • Remove printed pages frequently.
    • Do not use paper that is too thin, too slick, or that stretches.
    • Do not use torn or creased paper. Used paper might cause jams.
    • Make sure that the rear access door is securely fastened.

Cannot print. Triangle light blinks, I push the green button and it starts turning but almost sounds like it cannot grab the paper. Tray is not too empty or too full.

If the "attention" light is the only light on (in your case blinking) that means that the print cartridge door is open. Pull out the cartridge and make sure that the door closes. Install the cartridge and close the door.

I am trying to print a label through the document feeder and keep receiving error messages on my Brother MFC9320CW AllInOne Printer .."Open the Top cover and pull out all 4 drum units completely and...

Try putting more than one sheet of labels in the paper tray. Even if you're printing one label, it helps the printer grab the paper without that error somehow. If you're already using more than one sheet, I don't know. Good luck either way!!! :)

Try unplugging from the wall for 5 minutes / plug in and retry, cancels / resets printer memory.

My printer (Epson R800) keeps on giving me the error 'Media not loaded correctly'. Even before it's even tried grabbing the paper, it starts blinking red on the paper/trash button. I've never had this

Please make sure that the paper that you are using is included under the printer's paper compatibility list.
Make sure that you are selecting the correct paper type on printer settings.
    Trash and re-install the drivers.

Hl 2140 error light is flashing

Got the same problem, but in fact it WAS a paper jam. Open both the back panel (can you see the orange roller clearly? If so, no jam) and the front panel. Grab the handle and take out the toner and drum and check there is no paper. Chances are there will be.

    The paper light is flashing

My printer is constantly getting jammed, spitting out blank sheets of paper in between every printed sheet, clicking and snapping, etc.
There are a few places to check for a jam - pull the paper drawer out and check there, take the toner cartridge out and you'll often find a sheet there that you cannot see from any other angle, open the little compartment at the back and check there and the usual paper sticking out of the output just enough to pull it out the rest of the way.
    Good luck!
I'll be looking for a new printer this week though. I can't take the constant paper jams and sifting out the blank sheets when I'm printing 500+ statements a month.
Definitely NOT an office friendly machine!

    hi!

Try to cancel your document in the printers menu even if you restart the pc or the printers memory stores the previous command.

1.The idea is that printers has its own memory unless you cancel the document that you print.

    Hp photosmart 7850 printer

apparently this is one of many common problems with this model here's what some people had to say about it: This printer is a piece of garbage. It worked ok the first time or two, but after that forget it. Even though it has paper, it won't print and says it's out of paper. It will click and make all sorts of odd noises and if it does grab a sheet in the feeder it will often grab multiple sheets and jam. On top of that, even though it has nearly a full ink cartridge, every 2 seconds it flashes an extremely annoying error message that it has to print in backup mode because it's out of ink. 99% of the entire time that I've had this printer the blasted red error light is blinking. IF you can get it to print at all you're lucky. Usually I give up. Save your money and buy a different printer. I bought this printer in November of 2005. I haven't used it all that much and it's been treated with care and today for no reason whatsoever, I started eating the paper like a monster and making a horrible clicking noise. I actually looked on here to see if there was any hope of being able to repair it but I don't think I am in any luck after reading all the other reviews. I actually liked this printer but I don't anymore and I wouldn't recommend buying one. It's crap--if you're spending 100 bones--get your money's worth and buy the HP PSC 2210 all in one. You won't regret the extra cash. looks like a lot of unhappy customers there and unfortunately you are one of many hope this helps regards
