GHW9100LW@ whirlpool Duet grey seal leaks

Just above where the washer door strike goes into the latch is a small round piece of plastic that activates a switch in the latch- is that still there? It will push in and come out as it is spring-loaded.

You need to find thge cause of the hole and fix that. Then hyou can either platsic weeld the tub or find some other means of pluging uop the hole for good.

More then likely it will.

You have more serious problem than just your drum seal. The support arms in the wash tub are broken. The wash tub should always spin true. When it wobbles it is a sure sign that the suport arms or spider arms are broken. It is an expensive repair since the wash drum, the outer plastic tub and the door seal need to be replaced. Check your warranty, to see if some of these repairs can be covered. Get a few estimates before deciding whether to repair or replace it. Sorry.

HI, you can order this drum seal from whirlpool if you choose. it is replaceable.

the highest water fill cycle for your waher is the clean cycle.it will fill up with 2x the normal amount of water in this cycle than any other.look for a cut or wrinkle in your door boot(grey rubber outer ring that seals between door and boot)if you find one,only fix would be to replace door boot.also clean inner door glass that comes in contact with door boot ring,any hard water build up or sediment(dog,cat or human hair)will break the seal and allow it to leak.good luck

firstly you will need to unplug the machine, then remove the lid, open the door and remove the metal retaining band from around the lip of the door seal (may need a small flat screwdriver to lift it up).
once the retainer is off the door seal should pull away from the front lip, this can then be folded inside the machine and out of the way for the next bit.
next you will need to locate the doorseal retainer on the inside of the machine may need a 7mm socket and small ratchet or a small philips screwdriver for this one, this one only needs to be loosened enough so that the doorseal will pull away from the drum.

refitting is pretty much the reverse of removal.

you MUST make sure the seal is on the drum lip corrrectly before refitting the retaining band or it will leak.

you MUST also make sure the drain holes are lined up with the ones on the drum.

remove and clean any obstruction or deposits around the inner door seal use H.E. detergent over sudsing can cause that too.
