Hi!

Assuming your tyres have the correct pressure, uncontrollable shaking in 3-wheeld swiveling strollers is usually caused by bearing slack.
Please check the front wheel bearing. It should allow the wheel to rotate freely but it should not be loose on the axle. (ie. It should not slide sideways on the axle.)
In this case you would need a new front fork/wheel assembly.

Please let a dealer have a look at it. As the Vibe has not been around for very long, you may still have warranty.

I hope this helps.

PROBLEM WITH THE FRONT WHEEL OF PHIL AND TEDS VIBE

Spray it with some synthetic lubricant. I was about to toss my P&T over the bridge until we picked up a can for less than $5 at the local hardware - it rolls good as new. Occasionally (especially after a rainy day) I'll pull the whole front wheel off, wipe down the inside of the tube, and spray both surfaces & allow to dry before replacing.

Phil and Teds Vibe front wheel doesn't swivel

I had this problem 4 times with mine!!! the company tried to repair (unsuccessful) and then replaced it. The same problem occurrred with the second one after a month. Phil and Ted's took it back and put a thing called "super lube" on it. At first it was no better, but with a little use it seems to have come good.....for now. This is a terrible stroller that I really regret buying!!!!

Release mechanism on a new phil & ted's vibe stroller

The only solution I know is to return it if still under warranty. The same catch in the same position has just failed on our Vibe for the second time. Returned to Phil & Teds via the shop where we bought it. Have contacted Phil and Teds to guage the extent of the problem and have been told it does happen occaisionally and we are just unlucky to have it fail twice. We are now considering whether to have it fixed again or go for another type of buggy. Anyone else had this problem?

Phil & Ted's Vibe very stiff front wheel

Hi
I am onto my third Phil and Teds Vibe due to issues with the front wheel. It never ever worked smoothly from the moment it was assembled. The first time the UK distributors Outnabout replaced the pin - no help. The next time they replaced the entire no buggy. The new buggy is exactly the same - stiff front wheel that is back breaking to turn and squeaks loudly. Interestingly, I am waiting for Outnabout to send some lubricant that Phil and Teds have recommended; despite being told by the retailer in no uncertain terms NOT to use lubricant. I plan to return the third and final buggy and ask for a full refund or partial refund and replacement with a Sports buggy model. The wheel mechanism is different on that one. Good luck. As you can see, I am all out of answers.

Hi there,

I have just bought a second hand phil and teds vibe and have noticed the front wheel is on a slant too. Just wondering if you were able to fix this problem you or did you end up getting a replacement stroller.

Hope you can help!
Thanks
