My acer orbit cam has stopped working

I have an ACER Aspire 5100. The built in camera has stopped working. It seems to be a software problem. The camera still works when in the demo mode. Quando eu tento abrir o programa acer orbicam,informa que posso atualizar no site acer inc, quando acesso o site nã¢o consigo fazer mais nada. My 8.9 acer labtop orbit cam is not working.

If you click to close down your computer it comes up with a menu box .Look for CONTROL PANEL.In there you will find SCANNERS AND CAMERAS follow the insructions and this should load your camera with no problem. YOURS Mel

Acer OrbCam Application has stopped working a problem caused the program working correctly.Pleas help me solve this problem

Assuming it has face track capabilities( like the logitech orbit webcam) it could be a mechanical problem such as internal track miss alignment of servo motor failure or your software has become corrupted. Let's concentrate on the latter. Un-install cam software completely from comp. Create a new folder on your desktop and name it orbcamdrivers. Go to acer's website and navigate to the drivers/downloads>find your model/available downloads/download your new software to the newly created folder on your desktop-orbcamdrivers. At this make sure the webcam is disconnected from the comp. Power down your computer. Hookup the cam at this point and power on comp. Windows will detect new hardware and ask for manufacturers install cd or location. Direct the wizard to your new software and click OK. Follow the rest of the instructions.

Acer aspire 5101 inbuilt cam driver required

If you have a grey rectangle where ur cam should be. Especially after a fresh install plus all the drivers. although Then here's your solution :)

Go into device manager and delete the USB controller. Then reboot. When it says new hardware found let it automatically install it. Et voila, working cam :)
