Press and hold the SEL button to bring up the settings menu. Press and release the tuning (>>>) buttons until you see CLOCK H. Turn the volume knob to select the hour. If necessary, press (>>>) for CLOCK M; adjust the minutes setting with the volume knob. Press SEL when you're finished. Hold down the SEL button. Click >> for the tuner to change to Clock H and change the hour with the dial. Go to clock M to change the minutes. Then hit SEL button again to finnish.

its simple. hold the "sel" button until the menu comes up and it will say hours use the volume button to change it. then use the next button to go to the minutes. then you can also change other settings under this menu. hit the "sel" button again to go back.

Hello beeswing70,

The player is recognizing that a CD has been inserted but is not able to read it.

Sometimes the lens assembly becomes contaminated and obscures the laser. I'd try using a commercial "lens cleaning CD" two or three times and then try a CD again. These lens cleaning CD's are widely available. If cleaning does not help, the player need professional service.

No audio output from jvc cd receiver kd-sx770

The internal amplifier is at fault.

This will need to be repaired by a electronics repairman.
There is no end-user fix.

You may choose to, instead, use the RCA low level outputs and install a dedicated amplifier to power your speakers.

Verify the fuses on the radio are good, and that there is not a blown speaker causing the internal amplifier to shut down.

Per manual, you can lock a cd in by pressing and holding the power and cd button for moer than 2 secondsthe cd cannot be ejected. if acd is inserted upside down, please -eject appears.
