Sgh d900 when i put memory card in it says format so i say yes it says error why

I have spent nearly an hour searching and can't find the information that I am looking for. My theory is that you have the wrong type of card or the card is much too big. This is an old phone and card sizes and speed formats have jumped ahead of the hardware. Sometimes card have to be formatted via settings in the device. It will be either FAT or FAT32.

Go the manual and put 'memory card' on the search box

Internal memory is only 20 MB, so SD card memory is like 128MB or 256MB, and I bet your card is in GigaBytes.

Your memory card seems to be faulty.Try to format it using a pc and then insert into the phone and re format the card again by phone.

put it in a computer.Use filesystem FAT-32
to reformat your memorycard.

Just try formatting the SD card. Hope it works fine.

Just connect the micro SD with computer.(You need SD adapter, SD card reader, and USB connection) Most computer will recognise the SD card automatically. Format the micro SD in the Window Explorer(or My Computer). Format menu can be found if you click right-button with cursor on the drive letter. After formatting, re-insert micro SD into your D900.
Some Korean experts says the problem might be caused by different file system (e.g. FAT, FAT32, etc) in each memory card. So they recommended not to share your memory card with different mobile phones as well as any electric devices (eg. MP3 player and digital camera).

your SD card having problem first try to format your SD card through computer then try to format through your phone

i think its the memory card. im sure d600 takes 2GB. I think its the card. Hope it helps

The phone is not designed to take 2gbs, try using a 512k card instead

if it is not being formatted try it on your pc or laptop and format it or take the card back and try a new one.

If you insert a FAT32-formatted memory card,

the phone will ask you to reformat the memory card. If you do not, you will not be able to access the card from the phone.

• If a folder on a memory card has subfolders which
exceed the maximum folder depth supported by
your phone’s file system, you may not open or
delete the maximum depth subfolders on the phone.

Turn off your unit and turn back on. Then try to access the memory and keep in doing until you can open it. Thats what my friend do on her phone. It works.
