Intermatic Inc. EJ500C Digital Wall Switch Timer - Self-Adjusting Feature Logo
Posted on Oct 11, 2010

I have an Intermatic Wall Switch Timer. I had a power outage and now have to reprogram. However, I lost instructions and am having a great deal of trouble figuring out how to program timer as I previously had done to go on and off at certain times. Confused with time of day and different settings. Can you help?

I have a Utilitech In Wall Digital Timer Lowes Item #: 141224 | Model #: LW60418, purchased from Lowes. I've lost the instructions and can't figure out how to set the timer after a power...

This timer should have a back-up capacitor so that programming is kept in memory during power outage.
Power outage is known cause of timer failure. When power turns on, the surge knocks out electronics.
People writing to fixya report electronic timers and electronic water heater controls stop working after power outage. Probably many other electronic devices are affected too, but that would be out of my specialty.
Troubleshoot says 'in case of operational failure, press reset button to clear all settings and restart.'
If timer has failed, buy another from Lowes and return defect in new package.

I misplaced my instructions for my timer and need to re-set it after a power outage. Can you please send me the instructions? Thanks.

Question posted under Intermatic ST01C, but Timer is not 100% identified since ST01C is battery powered, and should not lose programming or stop working with ordinary power outage.
Most digital timers have a battery or capacitor back-up for power outage.
Add a comment with description of timer buttons, or open link below to see most brands of in-wall timer.

Open following link for to identify Intermatic ST01C and Ei600 and download instructions:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html#battery
ST01C timer has a battery backup. Power outage will NOT cause battery-powered display to fail, but power outage and power surge can cause any electronic timer to fail.
So either the battery went dead, or power surge ruined timer, or you don't have ST01C timer.

If ST01c display is not showing, then replace battery and then reprogram current time -or- manually re-set timer and then reprogram timer.

We've lost the instruction manual for our light switch timer so don't know how to reprogram it. Directions, please!! We've just replaced the battery. What buttons do we press in what order to...

Question posted under Intermatic timer:
Open following link to identify timer and download possible manual:
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html

IF Intermatic timer stopped working because battery failed, then all that's needed is to reprogram current time, because the original timer programs you set are stored inside timer forever until timer is manually reset using reset button.

If you have Intermatic ST01C timer, then open following page for ez instructions:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html

If you need help programming specific timer, then get as far along in manual as possible, and then add a comment.

If you have different brand timer, than each brand has link that shows on Intermatic page.

I returned from vacation last night and noticed all four of my coach lights were off. I thought...the timer needs to be reprogrammed due to a power outage while I was away. The red indicator light was...

1) You performed correct troubleshoot steps down the line.
Last thing would be to install defect timer on another light circuit in house, and see if problem is the timer or wire going to coach lights.

http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html

2) EJ351C has 1 year limited warranty.
Buy new EJ351c and install single pole light switch until timer replacement is available.
Timer has easy 2-wire installation. Turn off power. Connect new timer just like old one was connected. Either timer black wire connects to either wire in switch box.

Looking where to find an instruction manual to reprogram my intermatic astrological wall switch the e1600

You posted under E1600.
Maybe you have Ei600
Ei600 5-year warranty is heavy-duty version of Intermatic ST01C 1-year warranty

One thing to note about this timer, the programs remain in memory indefinitely until timer is reset.
You might only need to reprogram current time.

Open following link to identify timer, and download Ei600 manual, and read ez wiring and programming instructions:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html

I have a EJ500. It turns on at evening but does not turn off at dawn

The astronomic settings are not correct. The instructions are long. Start with section 4 on page 2 of instructions. Clear programming, and then reprogram timer.
