How do I get the sandisk cruzer 2.0 titanium to show up on desktop - only u3 system shows.

Yes, it did work prior on my old emac with Panther macosx v10.3.9 and on a new imac. Sometimes it would eject fine and other times after I ejected it and after the icon disappeared, - It would bring up an error message that it was ejected wrong and might have problems.
That is what it said yesterday and when I tried to use it again - The only icon that shows up is the u3 system.

My cruzer does not have the launch u3 option for some reason

If you are using Windows.
Open the Windows explorer.
Plug the device in a USB port and wait for the computer to recognize it. After it is recognized the Windows Explorer will show two additional icons, one of them a CD-ROM.

Click the icon with the CD-ROM, and it will execute the U3 operating system. A small yellow icon with a U3 label will appear on the task bar. Right-click the icon on task bar and select the "Open U3 Launchpad". Point to the Settings button on the right side.
Right click that button and select the U3 LaunchPad settings

In the window that pop up point to "Autorun" button and click it.

Click the button that will say Enable.
After that it will launch automatically whenever the device is recognized by a computer.

If the U3 launchPad is missing from the device you can download it from the SanDisk site. Here is the link. Download it and install it on your computer. Note:It does not launch on MacProducts or Linux.

The icon is not showing up on the desk top

If the Cruzer icon doesn't appear, you may have the U3 autorun diabled. In explorer, browse to the system drive or the data drive (it should be the next drive letter) and double click the LaunchU3 icon.

The autorun can be turned on in the U3 Launchpad Settings on the Launchpad menu.

Hope that helps...

I'm guessing you are using a Mac, so you will need a friend's computer with Windows XP or later. Go here for the U3 Launchpad Removal Tool, or Google 'sandisk u3 removal'. The CD image is a hidden partition used by the U3 LaunchPad.
