My sony kdf 60xs955 comes off but only blueish like glow on dark splash all over the screen and blinks green ten timesand then 37 times on green.and the screen goes off

Blinking green light

Try cleaning both fans and inspect the lamp. Usually quite obvious if the lamp is bad (ie. blown tube/shattered glass) Make sure you secure the lamp door properly after.

Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. This will make repair easy. These are called blinking codes. Make sure about the exact number of blinking of the standby/power LED, by switching On & OFF the set, for at least two times. Ur right the cooling fan is defective,check it,clean it might work normal again.Not, than the cooling fan must be change.

Sony KDF-60XS955 Wega Tv when powered on displays video for 10 seconds. Then the video disappears, screen goes black, the power/standby light blinks green for 30 times, video comes back on and the llight...

Since you have not replaced its lamp yet. Symptom shows that TV lamp is weak and consume more then required current and causing error of shut down and reboot.
Please replace lamp. Lamp light will lit when lamp would be dead, currently it is weak.

That sound like the optical Block or otherwise known as the light engine


This still may be covered by sony's warranty
I would call them and see it is a very expensive part

the g1 board is your issue. 6 blinks means there is no or low b+ coming from the g1 board.

What the @*#@*#

The 4 blink fault code means one of the fans is faulty or the H4 module in the TV.
