Those blinks [flashes] are fault indication (Error Codes). From the number of blinks occur at one time switch ON, you can get an idea about the faulty circuit section inside it. If blinks continue without any pause, the main board is faulty.
Since you have not replaced its lamp yet. Symptom shows that TV lamp is weak and consume more then required current and causing error of shut down and reboot. Please replace lamp. Lamp light will lit when lamp would be dead, currently it is weak.
