I have a sony ericson walkman w810i and the screen keeps flashing on and off. I have tried removing the battery over night but this hasn't helped.

When I had the white screen problem, I was about to replace my W810i before I found out about the Sony Ericsson Update Service (SEUS). I used it to fix the firmware inside my phone, even though the phone seemed dead and my computer wouldn't recognize it. You can download the SEUS from Sony's website here:

hmm, you should be able to download the pc suite from Sony e and then update the firmware. I don't think having a mac should be a problem. Matt. Please rate me.

u have not inserted the question in detail ... if it is how to connect ur handset to pc means just buy the datacable of sony ericson which is compatible to ur handset while buying only they will provide pc suite and driver cd install that... and just interchange the data s frm pc to cell and vice versa... while ur data cable is connected the cell will also charge..the data transfer rate is good in this handset just enjoy inserting songs , videos...
