Need a different thermostat unit will get no warmer that ten

follow directions, plug it in adjust thermostat to desired temp. if room is warmer than thermostat setting the unit will not come on, raise setting to about 5 degrees warmer than room. Don;t know room temp set thermostat so that it reads 80 degrees.

This happened to me where the glow plug was working but couldn't hear the gas valve click on.
I tapped on the relay w channel locks and the gas came on, Flame on!

you need to change the differential pressure to 3 degrees.that means the unit will not kick on unit it is 3 degrees warmer then the setpoint

There is a thermostat in the refrigerator section. Yes, even the one that operates the freezer is in the refrigerator section. Try turning it to a warmer setting. Almost always, it will say on the knob which way to turn for colder or warmer (different manufactures do things differently). If this does not fix your problem, it means this thermostat needs to be replaced.

It would be best to have an appliance repair technician do this--unless you have some experience with electricity and general appliance repair.

One of the easiest ways is to wait for the unit to turn on then reach in and turn the stat until the unit shuts off that is the warmer direction.

Not sure if you have an electric fireplace or a gas fireplace. But, from the way you worded the description of your problem, I'm going to assume that it's electric. I'm also assuming that all the other features of the fireplace work, but the heater doesn' t. If that is the case, below is what the Owners Manual recommends doing.

Yes it could. Probably the Thermostat Transformer in the outside unit. Unless, it's millivolt control. In which case the Thermopile or Thermogenerator, which is part of the Pilot Assembly needs to be replaced. Neither part is expensive, but should be done by a qualified serviceman. That way you'll get the part that has the proper voltage.

A warmer can mean two things when considering a refrigerator. The first will be a evaporator core warmer or heater. This device is essentially an element that keeps ice from forming on the core. It is controlled by a defrost timer and a thermostat. Once the timer reaches a set interval, it will initiate the warmer/heater to defrost the evaporator core. This mechanism will keep the core free of ice, which in return, keeps the unit operating as designed. The second type of "warmer" is a water line warmer or heater. This is a thin copper or steel line that is wrapped around the inlet lines inside your unit. This type of warmer/heater keeps the inlet lines from freezing over inside the unit. If the line freezes, they cant transfer water to the dispenser and ice maker. This style of warmer prevent s these important lines from freezing over.

Additionally; some side by side units have divider warmers to keep the condensation down that can form in the summer months. This type of warmer is mounted inside the frame, near the divider, and is an automatic functioning device.

What is the model number of your unit? Some of the icemaker is designed to harvest when the thermostat is cycles. So every 1/2 hr on some and longer on others. If you have a BI series then make sure the thermostat is set to a warmer temperature. That way the thermostat will be satisfied.(counterclockwise). Listen for the compressor to cycle off. When that happens then the icemaker should harvest. If not then the thermostat could be bad. If its a different model then Let me know and I can try to help you thru that.

You have an issue with the defrost system, either the timer, thermostat or heating element. Probably the defrost timer refer to the manual to find it. If you don't have the manual check the makers web site for a parts breakdown. You should be able to put it into defrost manually by turning the knob and see if that helps. You may need to do this sevral times as it only stays in defrost for a little over twnety minutes and run cycle for 6,8 or ten hours. If the ice build up is heavy then twenty minutes may not do the trick thus the need for repated defrost cycles. If it does the trick replace the timer. If not check the thermostat and heater element.
