I have a message That says I need to run the service pack 3 Cd for windows xp home edition . I have not got a CD as the service pack was downloaded

I have used full install/ disk from other brands of computers (or other dell model numbers)to reinstall operation system (must be winxphome, dont worry about service pack, you can update). If you use any dell reinstallation cd, most likely you will not have to enter your key. If you use any other computer brand, or borrow someones xphome full install disk (not upgrade), then you will need to enter your key. Only problem of using for example emachine full install disk is that is will have emachine themes. Also you will likely need to down load other drivers. You are not lemited to to using reinstall cd for your model number. Good luck

It seems that the file is on the bad sector of your CD Rom i.e. scrached portion thats why your PC can't get it. Its recommended get another fresh CD for repair.

The download takes a long time. See if you can get them to send it to you on cd, even if you have to pay.

nothing happens when you try to use the recovery console right by pressing "r".

try this again and again , sometimes it idles but its still running, if the error appears, restat again.

some corruptions maybe beyond our control and sometimes the only solution for this is to recover the inportant files you have on that HD and do a reformat...
