I have had success with this... Download Asoftech photo recovery program
http://www.asoftech.com/apr/

You have to use a card reader either on your computer or an external USB card reader. Put the card in the card reader, open the recovery program, then select the drive where files are deleted, then press "Start" and wait for it to do it's magic.

It's no problem at all to get them back. Please see this post for several free software that you can download. You'll need to use a card reader with these programs though:

Don't panic! The deleted photos are also recoverable as long as they are not overwritten by anything new on the same camera memory card.
Here are some detailed steps for you:
Step1. Stop using this camera in case that any new file would rewrite your original photos.
Step2. Insert this camera to your computer and prepare to restore your photos.
Step3. Download a deleted photo recovery freeware to your computer and start to retrieve all your deleted photos back:
http://blog4mark.blogspot.com/2012/12/photo-recovery-after-delete.html
In fact, this freeware has ever successfully saved all the inaccessible data of my friend off from his camera. So, I believe it can also work successfully on your camera memory card, too.
Simply read more information of this freeware here:
http://www.freeware-fix.blogspot.com/2013/02/photo-recovery.html
Step4. Save and back up all the restored photos on a different memory card or drive in case of data recovery failure.
Note: Next time, you'd better back up all your important photos on different memory cards or drives in case of the similar data recovery problems.

Definitely yes! Hello, Hani tmbr! I recommend this photo recovery software (also recover audio and video files); it can help you recover your lost photos from your Fujifilm XD-picture card:
Photo Recovery for Windows Users
Photo Recovery for Mac Users
Remember not write any thing to the XD card until you have got your photos back!
Best wishes!

Photo Recovery Tool is capable to recover photos of different formats from memory card, digital cameras, and hard drives. In fact, it supports very high quality format i.e. RAW file format, which is used by photographers. Apart from that, it can support other most common and widely-used camera formats like JPG, JPEG, Canon RAW (CR2 or CRW), Olympus RAW Format (ORF), Nikon RAW (NEF), Sony RAW formats like SR2, SRF and ARW.

Hello,

Don't worry; it is easy to retrieve accidentally deleted pictures from XD memory card by making use of XD card recovery software. Some days back, even I had accidentally deleted some of my precious photos from XD card. After losing photos I was really upset and was finding a solution to restore my picture. Then I got to know about XD card recovery tool which really helped me to retrieve my deleted photos. You can download the software by simply clicking here in order to restore your deleted pictures.

Good luck,

Robert Patarson

Olympus FE-340 Digital Camera uses a the xD memory card, you can use a card reader to read the xD memory card and transfer your data to the PC, just like any external storage drives.

What is the best free program to recover deleted pictures from Olympus FE-25 camera?

First of all, do not save any new file to camera's memory card.

Take out memory card, and connect it to computer using a card reader. You should see memory card shown as a drive letter (like H:) in Windows Explorer.
You can then recover photos from camera by downloading this photo recovery software
http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/Back-Up-and-Recovery/Asoftech-Photo-Recovery.shtml
Install and open the photo recovery software, select the memory card, and click 'Start' button.

I have an olympus fe-340 camera. I accidently deleted all the photos. luckily i have them all on my computer. the camera has a picture card so i downloaded all the photos from the computer to the card. but...

You can't. This is a one-way street...from camera to computer...not the other way around. Now you need to format the card in the camera to get it to work properly.

Olympus xd card formatting problems.

If you like the camera and XD cards then I would use the USB cable to download the photos from the camera. When you plug the USB cale into the camera and then into the computer, the computer should recognize the camera and set it up as another disk drive. Copy or move the pictures from the card to your Photo location. Use the "Safely Remove Hardware" icon in the system tray to disconnect the camera and your done. The camera can format the XD card and the computer can read it through the camera.

Formatting error on my olympus fe-340

never format the card from the computer... format using the camera.. use data recovery software to retrieve pictures if you have not formatted it... also make sure to "safely remove hardware" before actually unplugging the camera from the computer

Have olympus fe-340. can't upload using usb cord. i did before but can't now. i even bought a new cord but still doesn't work.

get a external xd memory card reader it is cheaper then having the camera fixed 10 to 20 dollars for card reader verses 75+ for mainboard replacement.

Is it possible to recover my formatted pictures on my XD card

Deleting or formatting won't make the data in xd card erased permanently.

Those deleted data is still stored on the xd card, it's just invisible or inaccessible. Only the FAT or NFTS table is erased (the information about where those data were saved), but the real data are still intact there in sectors of xd card .

So as long as those data are not overwritten by new data, it's highly possible to recover them. And the MOST Effective way is to rely on some format recovery programs.

Try asoftech data recovery program, which can recover data after deeply scanning your xd card drive to look for lost data you accidentally deleted or formatted.
