I have a 94 Ford Ranger "splash"(cool truck really)that use to have a Pioneer KEHsomething SuperTuner. Someone thought they needed it more than me and took it out.Luckily the left the wire harness' intact. Problem: I bought a wire harness "kit" that had the black connector and the grey connector to put in a lesser Sanyo stereo in. Seems the kit I got had the two connectors reverse of what the truck's is. Now I need to know what color wire does what on the power/ground side of the connector setup. Of course my handy Chilton's is of no use in that dept. Please help as I aM GOING CRAZY LISTENING TO ALL THE SOUNDS MY TRUCK MAKES@!!!!!!
I have a 94 Ranger XLT extended cab. Here are the power/ ground connector pinouts and wire colors as shown in the factory service manual:
Pin 1 LG/Y Radio Memory Power (B+)
Pin 2 BK Ground
Pin 3 Y/BK Power (Hot in RUN or ACCY)
Pin 4 LB/R Illumination (dims with dash lights)
Pin 5 O/BK Illumination (does not dim)
Pin 6 BK/LG Ground
From the diagrams, looks like either ground will work.
