Water isn't completely draining

I love my washer/dryer and don't have any other problem except that I can hear water in the washing machine. It isn't completely draining. If I spin the inner drum, there is a rushing noise of water and it is starting to smell. I presume something is clogged, but where and how do I get at it to fix it?

Same exact problem as MKTappe here on same Maytag Neptune model. My question would be: why did it take a year for the "smell" to start? Leaving the door open doesn't seem to make a real difference. It is housed in a small closet area with plenty of breathing room on top.

    Thanks,

    Pat N.

Try to change your laundry detergent. I had the same issue, so I changed to a different detergent and it is gone.

I learned a lesson, because I had the same issue with my sink (stinky sponge) and dishwasher.

It took a few tries of different brands, but now I have detergents for all 3 that don't produce that mold/mildew smell.

The water sound is normal ,to make the machine balance there is a liquid in the shell of the tub that is always there. As for the smell start leaving the door partially open and mold/mildew cant form.

My washer has gone through the cycle and the door will not unlock. Please help.

Hello,
TYpically the door wont unlock due to not all the water draining from the tub so the water level switch isn't satisfied the water has drained and wont allow the door to unlock.

The most likely problem is that the drain pump screen is clogged so its not draining and if it isn't draining it wont spin.
To check the pump remove the lower panel and the lower right side will be the pump, unscrew the big white cap a little and use towel(s) to catch the water that comes out ,when all water out remove completly and check for blockage.

I have an affinity washer and dryer. The last loand did not complete its cycle. It is partially full of water, but not enough to seap out. Itmakes a buzzing sound and will not spin. It is not the type of...

It sounds like the drain pump has stopped. If it still has water in it and you turn it on (in the spin only cycle) the drain pump should be running and you sould be hearing the water drain. The washer will not spin until the water is out. Depending on how handy you are determines whether you can access the drain pump and remove the obstrustion. There is also a trap to catch debries from going into the pump. This could be plugged, but normally you don't hear a buzz. You hear the drain pump working but no water going out. Good luck

Water runs during final spin cycle

You have a blockage in the drain pump. Remove the front panel to access the drain pump.
Bail the water from the tub.
Remove the hoses on the pump and clean out the lint or garment from the pump.

Water won't completely drain from tub. Door seal is very moldy.

Had a simular problem. In my unit the water was not visible in the drum but you could hear it when you turned the drum by hand.  The answer as told to me by the Maytag repair man:  The machine is designed to hold the water after the cycle is complete.  As he was replacing the boot seal he suggested to just leave the door open so the seal will dry out and not mold.  This has been working for the past several years.  No mold has appeared on the new boot seal.

From another source I read that the water is left in the machine for balance.

Kenmore Washer will not drain completely

Some machines don`t drain all the water out.
Is it your pipe which goes from the washer to the drain.
These pipes can get very smelly.
I suggest that you just run some soda crystals through the machine on a hot wash cycle.
please try this and let me know what happens
best of luck
