My camera was fine until the batteries went dead, and now when I put new batteries in, it makes 3 beep beep beep sounds, and it turns off without putting the lense away. I have tried lithium batteries and many normal battery pairs, and it still does this. Also, the bottom part of the camera where you put the batteries doesnt go in completly, but it does go in.
When taking a picture the camera seems to be working fine until you push the shutter button then it just shuts off with the lens still extended. It wont restart again unless you take the batteries out and reinstall them. The battery indicator shows the batteries are fully charged.

I fixed the problem with a few setting changes after resetting the camera. I reset it and then changed the battery setting to ni-mh and it works fine now.

Sounds like you have a short in the wiring. This is repair shop stuff, or buy a new camera time. Usually, if it is a point and shoot , it is not worth sending for repair as you'll playas much as a new camera is worth. I would look for a new camera, personally. Good luck.
try replacing the battery. Check best buy, radioshack or other camera dealers for a battery. Possible deadcell battery. These lith-ion batteries die with no warning. If there is no change, the camera is defective!! hopefully htis helps
Yes, there is definitely a fault with your camera.
You should be able to return it for a replacement.
I wouldn't experiment too much with batteries in this camera. batteries discharging this quickly are likely to overheat, causing unmentionable catastrophe.
Well it sounds like a combo of both. Definitly get the battery replaced again. The phone itself probably needs new software. take it your service provider's corp store to get the software updated.
Mine did the same thing for forever and was brand spankin new... When the batteries go dead once, I guess it glitches... You can put brand new ones in and it will Still say low battery or act like it anyway. Give it some time. Then try to turn it on again and it will be fine. Also it will say you have a low battery if you are taking too many pics at a time... like snap snap snap and it will shut down... turn it back on in twenty minutes and its fine... full battery. If you can't deal with this... Get a battery charger and rechargable batteries. I am using them now with none of these problems
my camera will not turn on or off lense stuck open put new batteries still nothing my daughter took picture with it everything went blank its the samsung s630 worked fine till today!!
it's one of three problems,
1. your battery is completely fried and you need a new one.
2.your charger is fried and you need a new one
3. your charger port on the phone is broken and you need a new one.
If it's number 3 I would just get a new phone as replacing it is a major hassle
