Question about Whirlpool AWM8123 Front Load Washer

I have a whirlpool awm 8121 6th sense front loader. when i select the cycle, usually rapid, and press the start button the machine commences to fill with water. when it comes time for the actual washing cycle to begin, the machine stops. it drains when i put it on that cycle but it just wont wash? 2 kids and lots of dirty clothes please help

If your machine is reasonably old, perhaps take a look at the bushes of the motor . Before that, take the manual and run the test cycles by following the instructions; it might provide you with answers

Since your washer worked fine while in Germany and now is exhibiting this problem at your new home, you may want to double check how it was installed. I suspect you may have a problem known as "siphoning". The following link explains:

This could be a simple situation where the drain line on the washer is not installed correctly. There are minimum height and length requirments on the drain line. In addition, make sure the stand pipe you have the drain hose inserted in has a proper air gap to allow draining. All of this is explained in the link provided.

I hope this information is helpful to you. The majority of the situations arise from improper installation and is not an operaitonal problem with the washer. If, however, you double check everything and still have problems, please post back and let me know.

Whirlpool Duet front-load washer F02 usually means it is taking over 8 minutes for the washer to sense that the rinse or wash water has drained, which either means that the drain/filter is clogged or the pressure switch/tube is clogged (causing both the washer to over-fill with water and not sensing that water has drained).

To clear out the drain/filter, tilt the washer backwards a little for easier to the kick-plate and support the front bottom with a wood block or similar, remove the front kick-plate's (3) retaining screws and swing the kick-plate up out of the way. The filter drain is behind the white knob in the center, be prepared with something to catch any remaining water and lots of towels to soak up any spills, and turn the knob counter-clockwise to remove the filter.

Whirlpool awm 9000 auto front loader washing machine after start on express load it shows 35 minutes countdown time. mahine fills with water and starts wash cycle.when machin counts down to about 21 mins...

FH means there is No Water or that's what it thinks.
You either have a water problem or a faulty water valve.

Probably needs a new "mother board." I've had to replace mine 3 times. It's expensive too.

Washing cycle starts and takes hours even for short cycle.

Try checking for good water supply.
Pull out detergent tray and check for good water supply during filling.
if poor filling-
Try checking the hoses.
Turn taps off, disconnect from machine, place hose end in sink, turn tap on and check for good water flow.
if the hose has a red indicator in the side of the hose (end which is fitted to the tap) - Red indicator is a failed hose.(for models with Water Stop hose type "B")
