If you hold down the mute button (on front) and the two buttons on top...when you power up, it will reset.

As other users said the cleaning took care of the issues. So I took their suggestions because nothing to lose. I took it apart. It is very easy. Just remove 3 crews at the bottom. It has one snap-in hook at one of the corners but easy to separate it. Then I removed the metal part (aluminum die-casted, silver color) from the PCB. It is easy to remove, just remove 6 screws (I think it is 6) then pull the thing out. Inside the aluminum die-cast part is dirty. If you clean inside with Q-tip, you can see the nasty stuff comes off. I think what happens is that the nasty dust comes off then stick on the sensing elements, which might have caused false signal. Also I cleaned tiny elements inside the metal piece with Q-tip. Now it seems working normal. Hope it stays normal. Give it a try if your unit does not act normal. Better than spending $$. Good luck!

Returned unit to Escort. After 2 months of misleading info, returned "repaired unit". Only problem is they returned wrong unit. Different serial #. So I am back to square 1. If it's microwaves, or sattelite dishes, why does it not behave the same each time I pass through?
I now don't believe ESCORT'S claims - these units are not good in the City!

Hi
Please check this related link regarding your query :-

Unscrew the three screws, pop the three components apart (it really is a no-brainer since they only fit back together one way. Use canned air to blow everything out and just use the Q-tip on the front window and the parts that looked like the detector window internally.
Please accept the solution if it’s helpful. Do get back to us for any further query.

Simple test: cover all the laser sensors with black tape - if the warning is still there then the unit is defective. In that case the only thing you can do is to take it to a dealer to have it tested and (if it's still in the warranty period) replaced.
