F4 usually relates to a temperature sensor fault. Meaure the temp sensor at ambient temp and it should measure approx. 1K . If it doesn't, then replace. However, and a big however, I've seen frequent faults such as these where the control board is at fault. The proper procedure is to verify the sensor though first before replacing control board.

Jenn Air gas wall oven turned off while baking and won't stop beeping about every half hour. If I try to reset bake degree, the bake light goes on, then off and it beeps again. Model # jgw8130ddb

Oven keeps beeping:
As there is no reprogramming of most control boards try this, disconnect the power and wait 30 seconds and then reconnecting the power.

If it's an "F1" fault code this generally implies an electronic oven control (EOC) failure. Disconnect the power, wait 30 seconds or longer and then reapply power. If "F1" returns upon power-up, replace the electronic oven control.
The oven control can be accessed and replaced from the rear of the control panel.

NOTE:Disconnect the power cord from the power source before removing the panel from behind the console.
If its an F2 ERROR CODE, The F2 error indicates an open circuit in the oven temperature probe.

if Your range has a resettable thermostat in series with the oven temperature probe. If this thermostat opens the clock will display F2 and the oven won't heat.
You can reset the thermostat by pushing in the reset button on top of the thermostat.
Some ovens have an alarm that will beep continuously every six seconds to alert you that the oven is still on. Usually, a kitchen timer that you have set will cause the beeping, but occasionally it can be an error with the oven's settings. If it is the kitchen timer, you can simply push the "Kitchen Timer On/Off" button to end the continuous beeping. If that does not stop the beeping, it is probably beeping due to an error. You can turn the continuous beeping off but you may still need to troubleshoot the issue that is causing the beeping noise.

Fulgor 300 series double oven top oven works fine, bottom oven locked code reads f4. What can I do?

f4 means a problem has occurred with the oven door latch mechanism. Try unplugging the power to the oven and then wait 1 minute and turn back on, this may clear the problem, if not you need to call a qualified service technician for Fulgor products

When baking in top oven for any period of time my oven will start beeping with an F4 blinking on the oven temp screen? What is it trying to tell me?

Hello & Welcome to FixYa

F4 error code indicates a open/shorted oven temperature sensor and to solve this problem the sensor needs replacement. If you wan to be sure before replacing the sensor then you can test it with a voltmeter for around 1100ohms....if it reads more then this then it needs replacement however, if the reading is around or less then 1100ohms then it is the control board that needs replacement. However, I believe it is the sensor as the problem is only with bottom oven. Please get back to me if you have any other questions.

GE single oven with touch pad settings. Getting error code F-4 after selecting any bake or broil function keys. Oven light works, fan for convection oven seems to be working. Makes no unusual noise. will...

Hi, the F2 error code means that the oven is overheating for an unknown reason. F3 and F4 indicate a problem with the oven sensor, which usually requires replacing the sensor.

Kenmore ovens flashes -F4- when I try to set it to bake? What does this mean?

Hello,

The problem likely originates from the oven temperature sensor. While not all but most manufacturer's use the "F4" code for a shorted or open sensor, you'll need to provide your model number to be certain. If you are able, check the value of the sensor, it should be approx. 1100ohms at room temperature, if not, replace it.

**Unplug the unit from the wall before performing any service**

hope that helps,

Good Luck :)

hummmm this sounds similar to what is happening to me. I am praying someone will have a solution, I don't want to have to explain to my daughter who is going to be 4 tomorrow, why I can't bake her cake.

Kenmore double oven f4 fault code - door locked.

We had the F4 problem and called Sears repa. They sent someone out. The guy opened the panel above the bottom oven (we have a double oven) and hit a reset button - then charged us $75. This has worked on several occasions (my husband did it after that). But then that didn't work and Sear's told us it was the electronic panel which they replaced twice. Now it's (F4) happened again on the top oven only on a brand new electronic panel. So I guess it's the heat sensor this time.
