I have a konica Minolta bizhub C250 and the screen is reading "replace transfer unit" and "replace fusing unit". I contacted a local repair guy that said he might be able to reset the counters and the machine should continue to work. Then he called back and said the new machines IE: Konica Minolta Bizhub C250 could not be reset and the counters are actually a microchip in the fusing unit and transfer unit. Is there any way to reset the counters and can you give me some direction?

I can only tell you they are definately resettable as I do it all the time.
The fuser "fuse" is located in the connector wiring. Once you get the fuser out just look in the area where the large connector is. It is a very small fuse similar to a resistor, green, and is encased in shrink wrap.
The Transfer belt fuse is behind a small black cover. If you pull the transfer belt unit out of the machine about 6 inches, it is located on the front right corner. In other words standing in front of the copier with the belt unit partially out it is on the corner closest to you. You have to remove a screw, a c-clip, a small metal plate and the small black cover is held on with a very small phillips screw.
He is the parts availablitity and part number info.
Fuses are available at http://www.digikey.com/

My Konica Minolta bizhub C250 says replace transfer unit. I have looked for this part and can find nothing listed as a Transfer Unit. There are many parts listed but none specifically says Transfer Unit....

I am sending you this link because A) they have all the parts listed including part numbers and pictures. They are also a good source for parts and supplies. You might find one cheaper on the net tho. Also keep in mind that these transfer belt units are resettable by replacing a $5 fuse in the unit. If you have a local independant repair guy, maybe he can research this and reset your existing unit as they will usually go at least 2 cycles. I reset a dozen or more of these units per year for my customers.

hi, from the service manual:
C2451:

Description:
A new installation is not detected when a new

installed.

for the solution, SM says you should try refitting Transfer Cleaner Unit(misplacing could occur) or change the PWB-M board.

Can i reset my Konica Minolta C250 transfer unit and fusing unit?? Is there a chip reset that I can buy for the transfer unit and fusing unit? I just purchsed the resets for the image units and they worked...

On your transfer unit there is a .80 amp fuse you can replace. this will reset your belt. make sure you use .80 amp or it will not work. on your fuser there is an inline 1/16 amp fuse next to the plug you can replace for that.
