Web cam i just purchased a logitech quickcamstx.. seems to be working well excpet that when I talk with my family, there is a long delay between my voice and the words coming out... only from my end. when I see them everything is in sync perfectly. I am very new to this and followed the directions perfectly. my web cam has a built in mic and I wondered if this has anything to do with it. my family are very frustrated ...I paid enough for it..should I return it... trouble is I am nervous about getting talked into another system that has the same problem.

Please remove all software which you are install with web cam.after that please go to run and enter "devmgmt.msc" you will get device manager remove all of the USB driver from the device manager and click on Scan for hardware changes. It will install all of the USB drivers. After that connect the web cam and install the web cam driver.

Your cam is perfect. when youuse it from my computer> view my cam> u see faster. But when you on your cam in messenger there is 1 or 2 sec delay. Its happend by internet speed. But as per your information 1 - 2 sec delay is a good result of your web cam . Just enjoy it.
Some people face 3-4 sec delay. all of these depend on internet upload speed.

If it is sometimes then could be a problem witth the hardware but still you can try reinstalling the drivers.

Download the software and driver from logitech site then install it and plug in the cam when it prompts you. This should fix the issue.

Normal 0 Web Camera’s have to be setup on the program they are to be used with. Just installing the camera on your computer does not set it up to broadcast on messengers or Skype.

Each program has Options that have to be setup in order for the Audio and Video to function properly.

A. Skype Setup:

After downloading and installing Skype set it up as follows:

1. Go to TOOLS, then OPTIONS, and click on Audio Settings and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
2. Then click on the Video Settings.
3. The camera if installed properly will come up and show a picture.
4. Then on the bottom of the page click on Save.

The camera and audio should function properly. Your friends and Family will now see and talk to you.

B. Yahoo Setup:

After downloading and installing Yahoo Messenger set it up as follows:

1. Go to Messenger at the top left and click on it.
2. Next go down to Preferences and click on it.
3. Next Calling and Devices on the right and set the Microphone and Speakers to the computer Audio Card.
4. Next go to the Test Audio section and (in blue writing) click on “Open the call setup assistant” and follow the instructions on the left window.

When done both the Audio and Video will function properly so you can chat and see family or friends you are connected to.

you were robbed... you need instructions a cd.. some better reading skills ,no cd requires you to 1 return the cam to store for refund or find the make and model number and go to manuf website and download.. also must be a cam at other end....

It's more than likely a slow connection dependant on each persons speed, and the more people on line the more bandwidth gets taken up, it's like at peak times trying to stuff a sausage down a straw so to speak. Also make sure that there are no other programmes running in the background taking up processor and memory usage, this also slows the connection.
