It might be that the screen resolution set on the pc is too high for the monitor to display.
try hooking up the flat panel monitor again. (CRTs can have a flat screen as well)
lower the screen resolution to 1024 X 768 pixels click save.
hook up the other monitor to see if that was the problem.
If you can get the monitors menu to come up on the monitor try setting it to factory defaults.
To change the screen resolution, click on Start - Control Panel - Display - Settings tab and the adjust the screen resolution slider to 1280X1024 click Apply.
It may be that your video card is too old, that probably is the problem since you are running Windows 2k. If not open up your monitor's menu and see if you can manually change the monitor's resolution. Newer monitors do that.
communikay, The pink tint means that the cold-cathode-fluorescent-lamps are just about at their "end of life" and will need replacing!! I would be surprised if it lasts another month or two and then you might need to rebuild the inverter circuit that also might die from being overstressed due to the fact that old (many "ON" hours) CCFL's draw excessive current making the switch-mode-power-supply/inverter circuit work harder to light the lamps? 12fixlouie
there are four(4) buttons on your monitor to the left of the on/off switch.
Press the first one to the left of the off switch, which will bring up a menu, so you can select
bright or volume, screen size, etc; Next, there are two (2) buttons to the left of the first left button
that you can push to adjust brightness, size, vertical, etc;
