My hot point tdl30 dryer, doesn't heat up like it used to, meaning I have to run it for longer!! Any help greatly appreciated

Getting your clothes dryer to work efficiently means hot air and air movement! Check your dryer vent hose. It may be clogged or even plugged. If that is the case then all that damp air isn't getting exhausted.

Why would my crosley dryer get really hot but the clothes don't get dry

If the dryer is getting hot (the heater element is working) but the clothes aren't drying, it suggests that there is insufficient air flow through the dryer. Remove the exhaust tube from the back of the dryer. With the tube removed and the dryer running, check for hot air (lots of it) flowing out the exhaust vent of the dryer. If there is good air flow, check the exhaust tube for lint build-up or a clog that is blocking the air from flowing through the tube. If there is no air coming out of the exhaust vent with the exhaust tube removed and the dryer running, it suggests that the problem is with the exhaust fan inside the dryer.

Dryer runs for a short period of time and then shuts down without any error code but with a "clean filter" indication. This happens when running any automatic cycle except "air dry". ...

it is proberly lint stuck around the motor and fan resticting air flow to the motor and the motor is shutting down because it is to hot vac out around the motor and inside the cabinet

My hotpoint dryer takes hours and hours to dry clothes?

clean the vents as it is an air restriction, first take off the vent house run dryer and feel for hot air, if no or little hot air then then inside of the dryer needs to be cleaned, now if you run the dryer with the hose off and it drys like it should then the vent hose needs cleaned/unrestricted. Hope this helps Tim
