When I got my new computer with Vista Home Premium, I was advised by HP that they were not going to come up with driver and software for Vista. However when I hooked up the printer to the new computer, Windows found a basic driver so printer worked without the software.
I also have a Brother all in one printer and it works fine.
At first my Deskjet 5650 worked fine. Then it got to the point that I could print email or Word but not pages from the browser. Now it won't print anything. It is 3 1/2 years old.
Whne I try to print, I get error-printing in the queue.
Do I throw away the printer?
Per my original post, HP already said no driver updates as it wasn't worth it for them to update a driver and software for a 3 year old printer.Per my original post, HP already said no driver updates as it wasn't worth it for them to update a driver and software for a 3 year old printer.

Microsoft provided a basic driver and printer worked for a year. Something happened that won't let me print. I have seen comments on forums saying that it could be something to do with IE 7 but I have had IE7 for a long time. Besides, until recetnly, I was able to print emails and from Word but now I can't print and getting priting error in queue.
When I hold paper feed and turn on printer it will print a test page. It appears to be a communication problem between the computer and the printer. As stated before, my brother printer works fine.
I doubt the HP has any legal obligation to update software on older printers when a new OS comes out.Microsoft provided a basic driver and printer worked for a year. Take them to court, hp & Microsoft. They must provide the driver updates as its their product and you had paid for it.Take them to court, hp & Microsoft. They must provide the driver updates as its their product and you had paid for it.

could be ur broswer! i use IE7 cause its older and useing less cpu power to run! all new browsers look better but then they actually decrease the online performance as olders things now are messing like ur mail not loading so i say try useing IE7 and of you have 8 than i say downlaod IE7 then uninstall IE8 and then install IE7! i love IE7
Go there and try download the Drivers and Utility for the 64-bit Version of Vista. Pretty bad that HP's own website has the info you need, yet they say it won't work.
Go here to and click on your specific model, then click on 'Software & Driver downloads', then your Operating System, and you should now be able to download the correct driver package for your printer. I hope that helps. Bundled software with printers and other devices is often out-of-date.
Hey guy don't follow thier suggestion. No one can't do anything for u r problem because Your H.P. inkjet Printer 3210 doesn't work with Vista.
I am also faced same problem. It is technical problem.
