How do I program the remote to my tv

HI,

DIRECT CODE ENTRY

Step 1:Press and hold the device key (TV, VCR, SAT, etc) you wish to program. The illuminated ON/OFF key(*) turns on and remains on. If you release the device key at any time during theDirect Code Entryprocedure, the illuminated ON/OFF key blinks 4 times, and the process is exited.
Step 2:While holding down the device key, use the number keys (0-9) on the keypad to enter your equipment's code. While you are pressing the numbers, the illuminated ON/OFF key turns off.

FOR CODES CHE THE BELLOW ADDED LINK
Step 3:After the 4th number is entered, the illuminated ON/OFF key turns on. At this time, release the device key. If the illuminated ON/OFF key turns off, you have entered a valid code and have followed the correct procedure. If you enter a code that is not in the Code Lists or you do not follow all of the correct steps for Direct Code Entry, the illuminated ON/OFF key blinks 4 times when the component key is released - an indication that a programming error has occurred. In that case, repeat the process from Step 1 and try the next code in the list.
Step 4:To confirm that remote is programmed with the correct code for maximum functionality, test it. If some of the features of your equipment do not work, try programming the remote with a different code in the list until you find the code that allows the remote to control the majority of your component's functions as different codes can provide different levels of functionality.
* some models like the RCR450 have a LED indicator light in place of the illuminated ON/OFF key.

AUTO CODE SEARCH

If your component's brand is not listed in the code tables, or if you have tried all of the codes for your brand and the remote does not operate your component, try the Auto Code Search method below. The remote will cycle through all of the codes, in the event that your code is listed under another brand. TheAuto Code Searchmethod may take a long time because the remote searches through all of the codes in its memory for the code that operates your component. Therefore, if your brand appears in the code list you should try first theDirect Code Entrymethod described above.
Step 1:Manually turn on the device you want the remote to control (TV, VCR, DVD, cable box, etc.).
Step 2:Press and hold the device button (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.) you wish to program. The illuminated ON/OFF key turns on and remains on.
Step 3:While holding the component button down, press and hold the ON/OFF key. The illuminated ON/OFF key turns off.
Step 4:After holding down both keys for 3 seconds, the illuminated ON/OFF key turns back on.
Step 5:Release both keys. The illuminated ON/OFF key remains on.
Step 6:Press and release the PLAY button, then wait 5 seconds to see if your component turns off. If your component does not respond, continue to press the PLAY key every 5 seconds until your component turns off. Each time you press the PLAY key, the illuminated ON/OFF key blinks and a block of ten codes are sent to your component. This process continues until all of the codes have been searched. If your device has not turned off after all codes have been searched, the illuminated ON/OFF key blinks 4 times and turns off. The Auto Code Search Entry method is exited.
Step 7:When your equipment turns off, you know'll that the correct code is in the last block of 10 codes sent. Press and release the REVERSE key, Wait 2 seconds to see if your component turns on again. If your component does not respond, continue to press the REVERSE button every 2 seconds until your component turns on again. This will isolate the correct code in the last block of codes sent. Each time the REVERSE key is pressed, the illuminated ON/OFF key blinks.
Note:If you accidentally press the REVERSE button after your device responds, press and release the FORWARD key. Wait 2 seconds to see if your component turns off again.
Step 8:Once your component turns on, you have found the correct code. You must save the new code by pressing and releasing the STOP key. The illuminated ON/OFF key turns off.
Important:You must press the STOP key to save the code or the correct code will not be stored!

MANUAL CODE ENTRY

Step 1:Manually turn on the component you want the remote to control and keep the remote pointed at it.
Step 2:Press and hold the component key (TV, VCR, DVD, etc.) you wish to program. The LED indicator light turns on and remains on.
Step 3:While holding the component key down, press and hold the ON/OFF key. The LED indicator light turns off.
Step 4:After holding down both keys for 3 seconds, the LED indicator light turns back on.
Step 5:Release both keys. The LED indicator light remains on.
Step 6:Press and release the ON/OFF key repeatedly until your component turns off. Each time you press the ON/OFF key, the LED indicator light blinks, and the next code in the list is sent. This process continues until all of the codes in the Code Lists have been searched. If your component turns off, you have found the correct code.
Because there are so many codes, you may have to press the ON/OFF key many times - possibly up to 200 times.
Step 7:Once you have found the correct code, you must save the new code by pressing and releasing the STOP key.

CODE RETRIEVAL

If you used one of the Code Search methods above to program your remote you may want to record the codes for future reference. Retrieving the actual code and writing it down will save you time if you ever need to program the remote again (when you change the batteries for example). If the codes are recorded, you can use the Direct Entry method to reprogram your remote to control your device, which is quick and easy.
Step 1:Press and hold the component key (TV, DVD, etc.) whose code you wish to retrieve. The illuminated ON/OFF key turns on.
Step 2:While holding the device key down, press and hold the INFO key. The illuminated ON/OFF key will turn off.
Step 3:After holding down both keys for 3 seconds, the illuminated ON/OFF key turns back on.
Step 4:Release both keys. The illuminated ON/OFF key remains lit.
Step 5:Starting with the number 1 key, press and release each number key on the keypad in the following order: 1 to 9, then 0. The number that causes the illuminated ON/OFF key to blink is the first number of the code.
Note:
TV codes begin with the number 1
VCR codes begin with the number 2
DVD codes begin with the number 3
Satellite receivers and cable boxes, codes begin with the number 5.
Step 6:Repeat step 5 until you have retrieved all 4 numbers in the code.
Step 7:After the fourth number is retrieved, the illuminated ON/OFF key blinks briefly, then turns off.
Note:To exit theCode RetrievalMode, press and release the "GO BACK" button at any time.

how to tune in my urc220-10a remote control to tv

[1] Power on the A/V component you wish to setup, so that
you can test codes by sending power off commands
[2] Refer to the pre-programmed code tables on pages
25 - 46 and write down the code numbers listed
for your A/V component. The code numbers are
listed by categories of devices, then by brand. See
page 25 for a category list.
[3] Press and hold both the SHIFT and ENT (Enter)
buttons for approximately three seconds. The top of
the display will blink "SET" then one of the eight
device names. You are in SETUP mode now.

Note: You have 30 seconds to perform a step while you are
in SETUP mode. If you don't press a button within that time,
the Unifier will time out and return to normal operation.
[4] Choose the name of the device you'd like to
setup. Use the cursor LEFT or RIGHT buttons to
change the flashing name.

For Example: I wanted to setup the TV Device button
first, so I pressed the cursor LEFT or RIGHT until "TV"
was flashing on the display.
[5] Point the Unifier at the component, then enter the
first three digit code number from your notes using
the numbered buttons. After you enter each three
digit code number, look at the component to see if
it turned off.
[6] Continue to enter code numbers until the
component powers off.

For Example: I have a Sony TV. I found the code
numbers 070, 139,147, 126, 185, 194 and 085 under
Sony in the TV TABLE. Using the numbered buttons on
the Unifier, I entered 070 and looked at the TV. It
didn't turn off, so I entered 139, then 147 and so on,
until I found the code that powered off the TV.

How do you program remote rca312w step by step.

1. Manually turn on the component you want the remote to control.
2. Press and hold the component key (TV, VCR•DVD, SAT•CBL) you
wishto program. The illuminated ON•OFF key turns on and remains on. If you release the component key at any time during the Direct Code Entry procedure, the illuminated ON•OFF key blinks four times,
and the process is exited.
3. While holding down the component key, consult the Code Lists for the four-digit code that corresponds to your component's brand and use the number keys (0-9) on the keypad to enter it.
While you are pressing the numbers, the illuminated ON•OFF key turns off.
4. After the fourth number is entered, the illuminated ON•OFF key turns on. At this time, release the component key. If the illuminated ON•OFF key turns off, you have entered a valid code and have followed the correct procedure for Direct Code Entry.

If you enter a code number that is not in the Code Lists or you do not follow all of the steps for Direct Code Entry, the illuminated ON•OFF key blinks four times when the component key is released. This is an indication that a programming error has occurred. In that case, repeat the Direct Code Entry process from step 2.

I am having sony RM-V210T universal remote, I am unable to tune it to work with LG LCD TV, what will be the code for LG LCD TV Model No. 32LD550 ?

The best option would be to download this manual available at

http://tv.manualsonline.com/mdownloads/0044161a-203f-405d-a73c-ae45a8e7e3b1.pdf

Else try these steps

1 Press SET more than two seconds. The SET indicator lights up.
2 Press the Component Select button for the desired component.
The SET indicator lights up.
3 Press CH + or CH - and POWER in turn until the component
reacts as follows:
TV, DVD Home Theater: Powers off
Other components: Powers on
Press CH + to go to the next code number.
Press CH - to go back to the previous code number.
The SET indicator flashes once after the numbers have turned one
cycle.
One cycle means, for example, that the commander finishes
searching all the component code numbers allocated to the
component.
4 Press ENTER.
The SET indicator and the Component button turn off.
If the SET indicator flashes five times before turning off, it means
that the setup is incomplete. Start over from Step 3.
If the component does not operate properly, repeat steps 1 to 4 and
search for another code.

Pl note while you are doing this to take care of the following points

• Check that you're aiming the Commander directly at the component, and that
there are no obstructions between the Commander and the component.
• Make sure the batteries you're using are not worn out, and that they're
inserted correctly.
• Check that the button of the TV, VCR, CBL, or DVD is pressed to choose your
desired component.
• Check that the component has infrared remote capability. For example, if
your component didn't come with a remote commander, it probably isn't
capable of being controlled by a remote commander.
• Should any problem persist, reset the Commander to the factory setting by
pressing the POWER, INPUT and VOL- buttons simultaneously.
