There's a manual available free from the Riccar website.
Hope this helps!

I have tried everything recommended in the Manuel and your site and the thread still will not pick up the bobbin thread. I do not know what else to do and it is driving me crazy.

It is very difficult to tell you what needs to be done from where I sit. I will say that it is possible that the needle needs to be adjusted down a little. Also when you set your bobbin, are you pulling out enough thread for the needle to catch. What I mean by this is you should be pulling out thread and then sliding the cover over the thread. Sometimes when you read those manuals they can be very confusing. Good Luck Friend.

How do you thread the machine?

Search the internet for a manual:

Manufacturer + Model + the word "Manual"

or search YouTube videos for a machine similar to yours and follow the threading example.

Thread keeps breaking on Singer 2210 model, need help. not sure we have it threaded correctly either. thanks

If you go to the following website and type in 2210 it will take to a page where you can download a manuel for the machine which tells you how to thread it and shows you a picture. That way you will know if you are atleast doing that part correctly. Hopefully that is all it is. Good luck.

I have a 1950's era New Home sewing machine. I do not have a manuel. I have had this machine about 35 yrs. I have always had a problem with the tension. Now, apparently, the thread is somehow...

Most common fault threading the machine without the presser foot being in the up position so the thread goes completely between the discs

all machines thread the same. TTN tension, take up, needle.
Beginning with the spool, guide the thread through the thread guides to the tension assembly. Pull the thread through the tension assembly and test it to make sure the tension is working correctly.
(To do this test, adjust your tension setting to normal or medium or 5 or something in the middle. Raise the presser foot and pull the thread through the tension. It should pull easily!! Lower the presser foot and pull the thread. It should pull noticeably harder.) If it passes this test, continue up through the take up lever, then down through the thread guides to the needle. Make sure your needle is fully inserted and turned the correct way.( If you load your bobbin case from the left side, the needle rule is normally FLAT to the RIGHT is RIGHT. There are some exceptions. If you have a newer style drop in bobbin or your bobbin case loads in the front then the rule is FLAT to the BACK.

Shark Euro-Pro Sewing Machine

I had the same problem with my Shark Euro Pro 7133. My problem was in threading the upper thread. The manual does not quite explain so I had to figure this out the hard way.

In threading the upper thread . the thread first goes down from the spool througt a groove. When it comes up it must catch a silver lever that moves up and down before moving it down againPlease let me know whether this helps.

Bobbin Thread won't come through

Thread the machine and the bobbin. Turn the handwheel towards you with your right hand and hold the the top thread in your left hand pulling slightly to the back of the machine. When the needle goes into the needle plate keep turning the handwheel untill the needle picks up the bottom thread and by pulling the top thread you shold be able to pull the botoom thread through the needle plate.

Practise makes perfect.
