Someone punched in a Dept ID code on accident when we were moving the machine and now I want to remove it and it will not get me to any other screens to remove it and there should not be any codes or passwords to use the copier. Can someone help me with this? Maybe there is an admin code or reset code to reset this option? I cannot copy anything currently becuase of this. Please help!!!! Tracey -

Hello, did you try the Clear MMI function ? , it should reset all passwords if my memory is good ( and all settings like ip, language etc ... )

Dept. ID is activated that is why it is asking you to enter it. If you are not needing the function you can ask the local service provider to check the settings of your machine.

Check this code - does it read E020 ? if so this is usually a result of toner starvation possibly caused by a faulty toner sensor in dev or hopper unit.I have also found the toner hopper supply motor can fail with the same result. In either case it is an engineers job to rectify. Good luck !

The only way for you to resolve this problem is to access the yellow laser motor. Unfortunately, you need to remove the laser and check for rotational operation and replace if necesary. That's it - no one can do that for you but you.
