Hello, My Keurig says de-scale on the screen.

Hello, My Keurig says de-scale on the screen. I've tried running vinegar through it, but it just squirts out a little into the cup and just sits there. It doesn't seem to want to cycle at all. I have to turn it off and unplug it before it will allow me to press brew again, Then it will say brewing with nothing happening. How am I supposed to get it to de-scale if it won't even cycle the vinegar through it? Is the problem greater than just the descaling? Thank you!! Georgia

SOURCE: Keurig starts & stops without brewing coffee, just descaled

The pic is clogged with coffee or the air bladder is bad. Use the tool on the underside of the tray to clean out pic. If that doesn't work, the bladder will be bad.

SOURCE: Keurig only brews about 2-3 oz. of coffee.

Doesn't sound like a descaler issue. I am having problems with mine and noticed that water is flowing back into the reservoir when it is pouring into the coffee cup. I think there is a valve that is not closing properly.

De scale kruig coffe maker

Empty the reservoir of water and fill it with four (4) cups of white vinegar. Run the Keurig WITHOUT a K-Cup until the vinegar has been run through. Rinse out the reservoir with hot water, dry it, then fill with cold water normally used to make coffee. Run the maker 3 times, or until vinegar taste disappears.

Good luck!

The water comes out the top of the manuel filter so not all the hot water goes through the holder. the coffee is loosely put in the filter

Try running vinegar through the Keurig to clean and de-scale it. You should use white vinegar, run it through using several cups until there is no vinegar left, then use clean water to brew plain hot water until you can no longer smell vinegar. This will help de-scale the Keurig and potentially remove any plugged bits of coffee that may remain.

Why is the keurig not brewing coffee, just hot water is coming out everytime

Sorry to read about your issue.

The brewer should be de-scaled at least every 3-6 months. Scale is harmless, but if left unattended, it can hinder optimal brewer performance. De-scaling your brewer regularly helps maintain the heating element, removable water reservoir and other parts of the brewer that come in contact with water. Better water quality and water heating means a better cup of coffee, tea, hot cocoa or iced beverage. We recommend de-scaling your brewer at least every 6 months (every 3 months if your water has a high mineral content). The de-scaling process involves using 48 ounces of undiluted white vinegar.

Take 48 oz of white vinegar. place in tank. pretend you are making coffee (Do No Use K Cup). let the water fill you mug. then empty that mug. Do it again until tank is empty. then let sit for 4 hours.
Then fill with fresh water to the top. let that tank of water run thru. towards the end taste the water.
If you taste vinegar..use more clean water, until the taste is ok.
