I went to my control panel and then selected the Printers and Other Hardware link. Once there, I clicked on Add Hardware in the Upper Left hand corner. Once you have done that, you then will get a list of devices on your computer. Look until you see mp3 device. If it has a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, then there is a problem. Right click on it and tell it to update driver. Once you have done that mark the Find Automatically and your computer will begin searching for a new device driver. This should allow you to then start updating your mp3 player. It worked for me.
if when you plug the device to the pc, the device ask you for a mode, you could try some option called transfer mode.. that way the pc could detect the device as some sort of pendrive...
I had the same problem but on different computers, home works great, office won't detect it. Try using some other computer just to see if it the players fault. I am loving my ilo, but its just day 2 so hope it stays good pwatson
I have windows vista...when I try to download the cd in order to use my mp3 player. It says to download a newer version of start up cd.....however the site it takes me to says my version on my windows vista is 'newer' than the download and I cannot find the 'newest version'
Whenever I try to download music and I plug in my mp3 player, it always says, "It is not possible to to change the sync settings at this time. Please try again later." I try again later and it still doesn't work. I am using Windows Media Player and I can't do it on iTunes. What do I do?
ummm did you FIRST install the drivers? I have one, and you FIRST have to install the drivers, some MP3s are already supported by windows by default, but this ones requires it's own drivers!
