I'm just restating what you said here first...

You plugged in your psp for 5 hours.
You took it out.
You played it for 1 hour before it turned off...

If this is true, it seems that your battery just can't hold a charge. One solution would be to just buy a replacement battery, but you could try this...

Drain your psp completely. This means keeping it on until it turns off, then turn it on again, leave until off and so on. Just keep turning it on until it stays on for less than a minute.
Charge your battery overnight.

Hope this helps!!!

My boss has an alcatel A206G flip phone through TracFone and we are trying to get it to turn back on just for his contacts.

If the phones battery was allowed to fully discharge you'll have to leave it charging for a few hours before it will even think about powering up.

My PSP wont charge

Continuous charging of a battery will cause a battery to loose its zero point.

Also battery's do not react well in the mouths of little boys this will also cause a battery to corrode as well as loose its zero point.

You may need a new battery

I need to know if the power source could be the problem. I already replaced the battery and it worked fine for a week, and then died. I already took it apart once and fixed the dpad, so that's not a p

This could be due to a faulty charging cable, a burnt-out battery or the interference of software you have downloaded. Solve these problems by testing your PSP to locate the charging problem and proceed to implement the correct solution.

Instructions
Revert to Factory Settings

1 Switch the WLAN button on your PSP so that it is in the "Off" position. Remove any memory stick or UMD that is in the system and put them aside.

2 Choose "Settings " from the left side of the cross media bar. Scroll to "Restore Default Settings." Press "X" to enter this menu. Press "X" to accept the restoration. The PSP will then revert back to its original settings.

3 Power off the PSP and plug it into an outlet with the AC adapter to charge for three hours. Power on the system to see if if the charging issue has been resolved.

USB Charging

4 Power on your PSP and scroll to the far left of the cross media bar. Choose "System Settings" and press "X." Scroll down the System Settings menu until you reach the option for "USB Charge." Press "X" and switch the setting to "On."

5 Return to the "System Settings" menu and choose "USB Auto Connect." Make sure the Auto Connect setting has been turned on. This allows your PSP to enter USB mode and begin charging whenever it is connected to another device.

6 Connect the PSP to a powered on PS3 or PC using the USB connector cable. The small end fits into the top of your PSP while the large end is inserted into a USB slot in your chosen system. The PSP will automatically enter USB mode as soon as it is connected.

7 Leave the PSP attached to the system for 30 minutes to an hour. When you detach your PSP, check your battery power. If it has gone up, then the charging problem is with your AC adapter. You can replace it or continue to use the USB charge function.

Battery

8 Plug your PSP into an outlet using the AC adapter cable and power on the system.

9 Enter the "System Settings Menu." Scroll down until you reach "Battery Information." Press "X" to open the menu.

10 Check the last option on the page which is labeled "Battery Status." If the status does not say "Charging," then the battery is not receiving a charge from the cable. While your PSP is getting power from the cable, you will need to purchase a new battery.

My psp keeps shutting off for no reason?

If the battery light is flashing then that means that the battery doesn't have a charge left. If you charge it for hours on end and it continues to rapidly drain life then it may be time to take to a proffesional to get the battery replaced.

Replace Altenator 93 Nissan 300Z-How hard? Hours?

I am a 300zx over for 5 years now. Replaced a few alternators in many other z's too.

For a newbie expect a couple hours. Remove the radiator and hoses.. will make it much easier.

Expect a shop to charge atleast 2 hours. Shop rates are around $90-$125 an hour!

PSP Charging problem

TEST : Take battery out. Plug in to wall. Wait 30+ secs with psp on. if the power turns off, then its the adapter which is broken, which costs about 5$

OTHERWISE:

Your battery needs to be changed. Standard flavor costs bout 8$, extra long lasting spicy flavor costs 16$. (lol, chips)

Seriousley though, after some time, wear, and in some cases, temp. changes, the battery can become so weak, that it will only hold about a 5 second charge. Once you get less than 1 hour play time W/O charger, need to get a new battery.
