When it is on, do you see any distortion in color?  If not probably bad power supply board. Call 1-800-543-4330 and have model and chassis number and ask for Power supply/deflection board. Only about 200.00

hi it sounds like it may be tripping(not taking drugs)were the protrection curcuit detects a fault eg excessive current.and goes into shutdown mode(protection mode)and makes several atemts to switch on and will continue tripping untill the fault clears.in order to norrow the fault down one would isolate differnt parts of the curcuit utill trhe tripping stops you then know the conponent/panel area were the fault lies or it can be a dry joint (needs soldering hope it helps and tell me your knowoldge

it seems as you need your tubes re-alinged dont get riped off by tv experts saying it will cost you loads if you have a screw driver and a gentl touch just re focus your red green and blue-simple cost you nothing
