Hi,
Have you try a Cleaning Disk.
Maybe you can use a compress air can (usually sell in pc/electronics stores) and clening up the laser lens.
Check for dirty on discs, water drops or scratches. Try another CD
Hope this help.
Regards,
how long have you been using this player? The problem should be from the lens (laser).
The lens is weak and that's why it cannot read/load DVD's. The weak lens is also what's making it says "disc error" or "Unknown disc". It can still play Cd's because, Cd's does not contain large files, unlike DVD's.
Get
a lens cleaner and use it to clean the lens, but if the lens still does
the same thing even after using the lens cleaner, then it means you
would have to change the whole lens completely to a brand new one.
By so doing your player would play all DVD's with no problem at all.
If this is a consistent symptom that occurs with all your cds....I would have to say the laser in the cd player is no longer working. You may try cleaning it, there are cd cleaners that are 15$ that u can try.but i think you'll find its out . sorry
IF THIS PROBLEM HAPPENS TO ALL CDS PLAYED, COULD BE THE OPTICALS LENS IS DIRTY, TRY TO CLEAN IT, OR IF ORGINAL CD CAN BE PLAYED THEN THE OPTICAL LENS ARE NOT PROGRAMMED TO READ THE COPIED ONES
First, you should never use commercial cleaners on CDs or cassette heads. They can create more problems than cures.
Unit may have bad disk motor or optical pick-up
Plays CDs ok, wont plat DVDs. Says bad disc. Ive reset, bought a cleaner, unplugged and waited... Nothing...
