Check if the processor is getting heated or not. If OK
check for ram - if ok
check voltage at mosfet near processor= 12 v on one pin. Ok
heck for voltage at IDE last pin = 5 v. If OK
check the controller ics in circuit. if OK
replace IO CONTROLLER IC and check.

I'm faced with a black monitor, no boot beep, with an operating fan and green light on. XP OS with an ASUS P5P800S motherboard, Thanks Jose

Remove all components from your mb and bios battery. Place jumper to clear cmos and make short to battery cmos. Leave 1min and after place cpu and one ram in mb. Replace jumper from clear cmos in normal position and verify. If not display, change ram.

Changed cpu on packard bell imedia d3318, still getting no signal on monitor and no beeps. When I remove the cpu and power on, there are no beeps

Have you check with different RAM, Did you try to reset BIOS by removing the CMOS battery and shorting CMOS jumper? Your Processor may be ok but you are plying with it. When there use to be no display then first thing you should doubt with the CMOS battery and the RAM and Motherboard, rather then CPU, CPU hardly gives problem.

CPU Overheated
If the system shutdown automatically after power on system for seconds, that means the CPU protection function has been activated. When the CPU is over heated, the motherboard will shutdown automatically to avoid a damage of the CPU, and the system may not power on again.

In this case, please double check:
1. The CPU cooler surface is placed evenly with the CPU surface.
2. CPU fan is rotated normally.
3. CPU fan speed is fulfilling with the CPU speed.

After confirmed, please follow steps below to relief the CPU protection function.
1. Remove the power cord from power supply for seconds.
2. Wait for seconds.
3. Plug in the power cord and boot up the system.

Or you can:
1. Clear the CMOS data.
2. Wait for seconds.
3. Power on the system again.

If after clearing the CMOS you still have no display, you may have damaged your motherboard, CPU, or RAM. If you need further assistance with this Motherboard, let me know.

Power supply works but pc doesn't power up no lights and fans dont work

Have you checked the power supply in different system? If yes then first replace CMOS battery and switch the CMOS battery jumper. And while doing this please unplug the hard disk or optical drive data cables and power. If it does not work then check the power switch is working or not or it is perfectly connected with the front panel PINS on the motherboard. If it is not connected perfectly computer will not start after pressing power button.
Second Level Test : Remove the CPU Fan - replace the CPU perfectly - again place the Fan.

Third Level (motherboard test): Just take the motherboard removing CPU,RAM, SMPS - use another same type CPU, RAM and SMPS - if it does not work so it is motherboard problem. If it works may be CPU problem.
