Corel Paint Shop Pro 9 Logo

I have had paint shop Pro 9 for several years. It worked fine until I upgraded to W7. Now I cannot change printers in print layout without closing paint shop completely, changing the default printer, and reopen paint shop. This is annoying to say the least. I often print a "proof" copy on a cheap printer and then want to print on the expensive one. This is no longer possible!! HELP!!

I'm running Jasc PSP9 on windows 7 Pro and I don't need to close PSP to change the default printer. I can change it, then go back to PSP and when I click PRINT, my new printer is set as default.
Maybe this works the same in vista and Windows 7. Give it a try.
It's still annoying but it works.

The following link deals with the same problem saying that the problem is a know compatibility problem with Vista, so by my guessing it won't be any different in 7.

In order to change the printer, you have to change your default printer before opening PSP 9. That is the only solution that I have found to work for Win7 and Vista.

Can't change printer in Corel Paintshop Pro

It sounds like this is a laptop because you mention different networks. If so, this is not a bug in the program. If you are completing a file on one network, choose the printer before you start. If you are changing networks, you need to remember to change the printer when you open a file. Use Print Preview to see if any adjustments are necessary.
This extra step is needed to have the flexibility of working with different printers,

I downloaded paint shop pro 9 and my palletes gradients etc..

On paintshop pro 9 and I think on 10 too, click on "View" on the top menu bar and select "ToolBars". When the ToolBar window opens, select "Color Pallet". You should now have your color pallet back. Close "ToolBar" and carry on.

No default printer???

Try re-installing Paint Shop Pro V8. You will have to uninstall it first. Because that is the way I have found that it reloads the program correctly. I have just had this problem today with my copy. I hope this works for you.

Paint Shop Pro 9 Printer Selection (no options available)

There is a workaround which will be suitable for those who use Print Layout in PSP instead of just Print.
With your image open in PSP, goto >File >Print Layout.
Now in the Print Layout screen, goto >File >Print Setup (or just click the Printer / Page Setup Icon).
The Print Setup window will now appear with just your default printer displayed. There should be a Print Setup button next to the Properties button, but it never appears in Vista. You can, however, still access it.
Just press 'Alt-P' and the small print setup dialog box appears, allowing you to choose a different printer!!! happy.gif

Compaq notebook keyboard layout doesn´t match

all HP keyboards, on all 1000s of HP products
all have like 100 keyboards for 100 countries ? sure.
if you read Service GUIDE you'd see that. (p/n for each one)

yes, XP ,
we dont run XP here, in USA, 1% and falling fast.
or get CYBER-ATTACKED, like in the news now in EU.
see the news, why run this VIRUS MAGNET OS?

but yes, XP needs to be setup to run all keyboards
but XP is now dead now at HP for 3 long hears and at Microsoft dead for 3 long years , so how can one get language packs when dead.
google is your only chance, and do know that doing that
you will get infected.

why not upgrade to VISTA.

this old PC is 2002 made, its 15 years old and not supported now.
we have 8 year newer ones sold for $20 used, in many used PC stores, even one with Window7 on it.
why not upgrade to a w7 old pc.

good luck finding any XP support now.
id avoid that like the Plague,

XP is DEAD,
let it die now, it needs to badly.
XP does not support all keyboards, a fact.

the install only supports 38 languages
vista is now dead, but 10x more safe.

load VISTA and dump XP.
the more new the OS, the more likely your old 15 year old chips are no supported, like for sure in windows 10. this old.
HP offers nothing,

below is risky but , there are few choices now.
