Our Sony PSP 300 wont turn on. No light no nothing. Any ideas? It did get wet in the rain so now it wont turn on.

If ur psp console wont start up....then the things to check are>>> 1.check ur power cable 2.check whether u have inserted the disc properly and precisely. 3.check the insertion of memory card... 4.check the video port.......

Then the problem consoles....... this is mainly because of some error in board .....as a result it leads to the damage of ur psp....................try to update your system ..........

When you switch the PSP on -- do you get a green light for a few seconds that goes back off? Or no green light at all?

It is bricked. Try taking it to a gaming store or sending it in to sony.

where is the aoss button on your psp i can not find it on my psp

keeping Lithium ion batteries(found in ur psp) idle for such a long time without charging may discharge them compleatly and even if you try to charge them they will not function. this seems to be a problem with your battries not ur PSP. try to get it replaced from the dealer you bought the PSP from. hope this solves your problem.. :D

this is a common problem with psp`s you have what they called "bricked" your psp you can have it unbricked by some one with a pandora battery and a memory card.

ok u have bricked ur psp and the only way to unbrick it is to use the pandoras battery method

Open the battery compartment, and remove the battery.  Look at the bottom inside corner for a little square sticker with has marks on it. is it dark or light,  If it is dark, your PSP has come in contact with moisture. I suspect that your PSP has gotten wet or damp.  If the sticker is dark, you need to keep your battery out for about 2 days, and keep the UMD door open and the whole PSP kept in a dry environment.  Try it after 2 days of drying to see if it is recovered.
