Do you mean you need to convert the 50 pin cable to the connector on the scsi card in your pc? (What connector is on your pc?)

You need to get a SCSI board for your computer. This board will plug into a pci slot. There is no "converter" for usb to scsi that I have ever heard of. I don't think scsi voltages or commands can be put on a serial usb bus. Check with Adaptec for scsi cards.

My cable that came with my ricoh is01 does not seem to be compatible with with my scanner and neither can I plug it into the pc.

The Ricoh IS01 uses a SCSI 2 (50 pin) interface. It should look like the one here: http://www.amazon.com/Cables-Go-03564-SCSI-2-Cable/dp/B000051312 . There are SCSI to USB converters but I'm not sure if you need a specific version. (Scanners require bidirectional communication with the computer so there were few interfaces that required a special connection.)

Depending on your computer's OS, there may be other issues. (Some may not be compatible with Windows Vista or Win7, for example.) Drivers for some OS versions are available here: http://www.ricoh-usa.com/downloads/downloads.aspx . Search for the IS01 (no other information is needed)

I hope this helps.

I have fujitsu 4120c and it doesnot work,it have error 8.can anybody help me

Hi,

Error code 8 means the SCSI fuse is blown off. This alarm is detected during initial processing immediately after power-on.

Probable causes:
- Defective SCSI cable
- Other SCSI device malfunction

Check if the SCSI cable or other SCSI devices connected to the scanner cause this error. The scanner can work even after this error occurs.

If the issue persists, you may have to contact Authorised Fujitsu Engineer to rectify the error.

Hope the above information is helpful.

Thank you for contacting Fixya.

SCSI to USB connection

You would need a USB to SCSI (50 pin Centronics) adapter. That would get it connected, but i don't you are going to find any software or drivers that will then see the scanner so you could use it.

Fujitsu fi-5750c Flatbed Scanner need to

The back panel of the scanner should have a USB connection to the right of the SCSI ID selection switch (the farthest right on the back). Just get from any source a standard male/male A/B USB cable.

Then get the correct drivers here: http://www.fujitsu.com/global/support/computing/peripheral/scanners/drivers/twain/v921720c.html . Additional software may be found here: http://www.fujitsu.com/us/services/computing/peripherals/scanners/support/drivers-downloads_index.html

I hope this helps.

I would like to connect my old SCSI coolscan iii

If your macbook doesn't have the correct SCSI card (SCSI II - d-sub mini 50 pin x2 connector) installed, you aren't going to be able to do this. You will need to find this SCSI card and install it in a computer that will accept it.

Interfase doesnt work, cable is damaged.

I should be a scsi 2 cable -- 50-pin mini-din male/male...

Double check the scanner and the card, if you don't know the difference between mini-din and regular, let me know and I'll try to find images to show you.
