Thanks for the answering the following question recently-- "Instead of using the cord to upload pictures from camera to computer, is there a device similar to a flash drive that I can use to upload pictures to the computer from my Fuji FinePix J10 Digital Camera?

However, I would like to know, if there is a memory card reader like a flash drive device that is flat and all that is required is that the memory card from the camera is placed in it and then that flash drive is placed into the computer/cpu and the pictures are uploaded?

I attached the picture. Answer given is what I am looking for. Furthermore, I saw a flash drive device from a friend where the memory card was inserted in the middle or the back if I remember corretly. The memory card inserted from the side is new. Perferred than the USB-HUB with a cord uploaded in the picture to you.

I am unable to reduce picture to the required size. However, what I have is the Markvision USB-HUB plus card reader and writer with cord attached. It is built in with 3 ports USB HUB plus 4 cord reader slots.

That's just a brief description of what I have.

Hi,

You can download pictures from your camera to your computer by using a memory card reader (You can use your computer's built-in memory card reader, if it has one, or you can purchase an external memory card reader as shown in the attached image).
Instead of using the cord to upload pictures from - 6b262ef.jpg
To do this, kindly remove the memory card from the camera and insert it into a card reader. Connect the card reader to the USB port of your PC (if you are using an external card reader).
Now, the memory card will be shown as a "Removable disk" in "My Computer". You can browse the images and copy the images to your computer.

Hope this solves your problem. Thanks for using FixYa.

    Many thanks for the comment.

Do you mean a memory card reader which looks like the one in the below image:

If so, yes. You can upload pictures using this type of memory card reader.

If your memory card reader is different from the above, please upload the image by clicking this link.

    Thanks again.

    Hi Rowena,

I'm really sorry but I have not received the image. To upload the image, click the "Pictures" icon (in between YouTube and Links icon) at the bottom of the comment window. Also, make sure that the image is smaller than 100 kb in size.

Memory card readers come in various designs but have the same function. I prefer card readers which attach directly to the USB port (i.e; without the USB cord because the USB cords malfunction very easily)

    Thanks!

    Thanks for the reply.

The details of this device are not available right now and I will post a reply as soon as the details are available with me.

Thanks again. Have a wonderful weekend!

I can't upload photos to my computer because the device is unrecognizable

Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use any photo cataloging program such as Picasa.

How do i copy pics from my computer to my nikon d90-it says the device is disconnected or has stopped working

It is never advisable to send pics from the computer to the camera...most of the time, the card and even the camera can be corrupted.

Sony camera says Switch on [MENU] when i upload pic from USB cord

1) Try uninstalling then re-installing your Sony software.

2) When you connect to the PC and switch on, Click on Start - "My Computer". Your hard drives and disk drives should appear in the window.

Have a good look, is there a new drive, it may be called Sony, or USB mass storage device it may just be called drive E or F.

If so double click on that drive, if there's a folder there, double click on there, with luck you should see your pictures, that new drive is really your camera.

You should be able to move pictures by copy and pasting. Once copied you can deleted them from your camera.

3) You can buy a device called a "Memory card reader" Make sure its good for sony memory sticks.
You take you card from you camera and put it in the card reader. Then, once plugged into a USB port its just like another HDD as described in 2.

4) I should have said this first, try another USB port if you can, it my just be dust in the port making life hard............

Good Luck.

Pictures not loading to computer

It sounds like you don't have software on your PC that will recognize the camera when connected. I am going to recommend that you do not use the camera to upload photos. It is better practice to use external (SD) memory cards and remove them from the camera to upload. You can use a USB SD reader or purchase SD cards with a built-in USB interface. You should be able to see a new drive when connecting the SD card to your computer; then all you need to do is copy over the images. One advantage is that you will save camera battery while uploading because you dont need the camera at all. It also allows you to take images with you without taking the camera, i.e. school or work. I hope this helps...californiajones7889e54.jpg67432f4.jpg4db3d64.jpg

Casio Exilim Z-9: Upload pictures from internal memory?

Don't think you really need to use the software do you? I think you can simply plug in the usb port and browse to "my computer", it should show up as a "removable device" in the dialog window, or may call it "Casio" or similar. Open it and browse to the pictures folder, and "copy, "paste" to your hard drive, but I'm only guessing...hope it helps :)
