H20 f-08

Hello,

My children flooded my kitchen via the sink this morning, and since then i have been unable to use my washing machine. It fills up with water and then two messages come up reading H20, then f-08.

Can you please tell me what that means.

Thanks for reading.

Michelle.

Why does kitchen sink running cause my Frigidaire Gallery dishwasher to flood? (Water fills tray via little cups in cover below door)

Hello Paul Maksymowicz & welcome to FIXYA, Your ERROR code SEEMS to indicate you have indeed filled your SAFETY tray (designed to prevent FLOODING). FRIGIDAIRE's solution is to UNINSTALL your unit and (TIP) drain your dishwasher to eliminate your "i30" ALARM condition... Without intervention the SEWAGE situation (I suspect) will reoccur... FIX IT...!! To ELIMINATE the DISPOSER flooding condition (building codes usually require an elevated SYPHON BREAK (adequate))... to prevent back-washing of WASTE-WATER into your cleaning unit (serious health & safety issue). FOLLOW proper installation procedures... (read the manual) and avoid poisoning yourself, your family, associates, visitors, friends & loved ones... (my opinion). https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carnac_the_Magnificent

Hotpoint Ultima WMD942K

Could be a blockage in the sump, small item of clothing (sock etc) stopping the pressure switch activating. The pressure switch itself could be faulty or the hose between the pressure switch and pressure chamber could be broken, causing air to escape and therefore the switch not being activated to switch of valve. My sanivite 3 has a washer connected to the bottom inlet and a sink to the top inlet. when water is run from the sink the system will pump the water out, however when the washer is discharging waste the...

A washing machine discharges water water at a very high velocity and high capacity. This is far more waste water than the pump was designed to handle. The washer discharge must be connected to what's called an "indirect waste", that is, it must discharge into a laundry tub or sump, so that the excess can be stored until it can be taken by the pump. The specific code that governs this is in chapter 27 of the International Residential Code.

Also in the manufacturers instructions, they allow the discharge from a washing machine ,through an indirect waste. [sic] "The Sanivite is a drain pump that is ideally suitable for use in a basement apartment or anywhere in the house where additional fixtures are most wanted. It will pump waste water away from a variety of sources such as: a kitchen sink, laundry sink, washing machine ***(indirect connection)***, dishwasher, bar sink, etc."

This pump will never be able to handle the discharge directly and you need to provide a receptor to accommodate a washing machine. Is there any possibility of adding a laundry tub adjacent the washer and Sanivite pump?

Kenmore Ultra Wash III Dishwasher will not drain properly

From the sound of things, your dishwasher drains faster than your sink drain ( via the garbage disposal) can drain it off.. You may have a problem with the way your sink drain/trap is vented and there is too much back pressure to drain down quickly.. When you run water from your sink, does it take a long time to drain down or if you fill your sink up and drain it, does it drain slowly ? That may be your problem.. Hope that helps.
