Dear sir/madam,

• When the green light changes to orange, it is time to replace the water filter. If indicator is red, quick replacement is strongly recommended.
• When the water filer is replaced, reset the indicator by pressing the Ice Type button and the Child Lock buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds.
• To turn this indicator off, press the Ice Type and Child Lock buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds.

Try firsd doing a complete defrost, leave fridge unplugged at least 24 hours

The red light is the water filter warning diagnostic. Try replacing the water filter. If you still get message leave the fridge to defrost overnight.

Unplug the fridge from the A/C receptacle for 30 seconds. Then, plug it back in. Sometimes this resets the computer board inside the fridge.

MY SAMSUNG FRIDGE/FREEZER HAS A PROBLEM MY TEMPERATURE ON THE FRIDGE IS FLASHING. THE MODEL NO. RS21DCNS THE FRIDGE IS NOT COLD ENONUGH AND I PUT THE TEMPRATURE ON HIGH AND IMMEDIANTLY IT WENT BACK DOWN....

This is caused by the ice building up in at the back - the fan catches the ice and eventually will stop. With the fan malfunctioning the temperature will rise and the light then flashes. Keep searching the web, and you will find instructions how to remove the back and de-ice it. I had exactly the same problem 2 months ago. Make sure that it is fully de-iced, including the tray at the bottom. Ours has worked OK since!

the problem is going to more then likely in the main control board which is on the back of the refrigerator in a little compartment this board is bad about going out if you have power surges or outages

I have a rs21dcns fridge freezer. i'm having trouble getting water from the water dispenser and also having trouble setting the temperature control for my fridge.

The water stops flowing from the dispenser when the external water filter needs changing, stick a new filter and it should start working again, it sometimes takes a few minutes to clear the air after the filter change.

Bottom freezer not working

Hi, sorry I do not have any advice to offer. We have the same model. Three weeks ago the red light came on and freezer stopped working. Last week the fridge packed up. We may have been unlucky but I thought it might be worth mentioning incase they were related and your fridge gave up as well.
