The manual is not going to help you ,it would only make you feel your not selecting things properly. So,here it is,REPLACE THE CONTROL BOARD some times called the CLOCK or CONTROL ELECTRIC.
Nice way to test a tech.It sure would be nice if we could hold a couple of buttons down and get manufacturers to stop and go back to the basics, who really needs all these options ? 85% of my customers don't even want to know how they work.
Glad you got the right info.
who can I get to replace the control board, clock or control electric in Auckland. My whole display is not working as well as the oven.

Just got somebody from Smeg on the phone. Turns out that all you have to do is to push two buttons at once - the ones that look like a pot cooking and the same image with an X through it. You push them both at once and hold for a few seconds and the A disappears and it all works again.
The guy I spoke to is also going to send me a manual via e-mail.
Thanks for taking the time to answer anyway & hope this is useful to you too.
