Hello, if you have already cleaned the contact image sensor, or cis unit, its located between both rollers when you lift up the top cover that has the buttons on it. sometimes, this cis/contact image unit fails, and will need to be replaced.

My brother intellifax 4100e is not recieving faxes we can send and I called the fax it works and we can copy but cant recieve.

Does the machine actually answer the incoming call? If so does it give an error code? Are you using the genuine brother line lead? Finally make sure the line lead is plugged into the "line" socket and not the "tel" socket.

Black pages on every fax I send

Is sounds like your exposure lamp is not coming on, put an original in the machine and make a copy, if you look where the original is coming out, you should be able to see a light illuminatig the original so the scanner can read the image. If this lamp is not coming on you will get a very dark to black image.
If it is just locked up is may be as easy as this. Turn off and unplug the machine for a couple of minutes, reconnect and power up the machine, make a copy. as the machins uses the same parts to copy you should see the result of your efforts.
If the copy look good, try a test fax to someone, and call them for confirmation.

If this doesn't fix the problem, then I suspect the exposure lamp unit has failed.

Hope this is of some help.

Black line going down the middle of the page

lift the auto feeder and clean the scanner glass that your pages scan across -it is dirty. You can make a copy afterward and this will tell you if you have solved the problem.

I have a hp all-in-one printer 3050. i can recieved fax ok but i can't send a proper fax as they recieve my fax black and dark and can't read fax i sent. i think it might be my fax setting on fax machine.

Hello cmcneill3

Does this happen w/ more than one recipient of your faxes?

If you haven't done so already, please, send a fax to a different recipient (one using a different machine to receive the fax on).

HERE is HPs information, downloads, etc. for your HP LaserJet All-In-One 3050.

I didn't find anything there that describes the issue your recipient is experiencing.

Please, use the All-In-One to make a copy of a document. How does the copy come out?

Please, post back w/ your answers and any other information you might have (the more details you can provide the better) and we'll see if we can get this issue resolved or at least diagnosed for you.

Thank you

Can recieve well, sends all black

The scanner is not receiving light. That is either because paper is covering the scanner, or the scanner light source is not working. In this case, make sure the connections are in place, if so, replace the scanner.
