I have exactly the same problem with the blue, red and green misaligned and the screen is concaved. It is a RCA D52W19. It failed this morning. It will only show a black screen. I noticed the problem when I went to the menu to set the convergence and it was not in the menu options anymore.

I see no red and green colors on screen projected by pjtx 100, the rest of the colors are visible.

If you are using a component video cable (Red, Green, Blue) you may simply be missing the Red cable. It may not be fully plugged in.
You can verify that this is the case by: 1. Unplugging all video cables 2. Plug in the green cable, you should see a black and white image. 3. Plug in the blue cable, you should see some colours coming through. 4. Plug in the red cable, you should see all colours properly.
If not, unplug the blue and red cables and plug the blue cable into the red port. The colours will look incorrect, skin tones will be blue. If the colour comes through the problem is the cable. If the colour does not come through, the problem may be the projector.

Tv out of foucs

These procedures are from the owners manual, go into menu and then picture quality and then: Convergence The Convergence feature lets you adjust the TV’s three tubes. When the TV tubes’ images are precisely aligned, they create the color images you see on the screen. Over time, the picture can drift out of alignment (this is normal). If your picture seems fuzzy or has a yellow tint, using Convergence could correct this misalignment. Only one convergence is needed for all inputs, regardless of the signal format. Note: Make sure the TV has been on for at least 30 minutes (TV needs to warm up for best results) before starting Auto Converge or Red/Blue Centering. When you select the Convergence feature, a submenu appears with three options: Auto Converge Automatically aligns the projection lenses to self-correct color images. You’ll see flashing squares of color dance across the screen (this is normal). Note: After performing auto convergence, use the Blue Centering and Red Centering menus to fine tune convergence in the center of the screen, if necessary. Blue Centering Aligns the blue and green images to fine-tune the picture. Red Centering Aligns the red and green images to fine-tune the picture. Note: The ability to change channels is disabled when adjusting the convergence options. The TV must be tuned to a usable signal to converge the picture.

Picture is red

If you are running component video, make sure the blue is plugged in and in the right spot. Component video works like this: the green is a black and white image, the red and blue are cover overlays to make the image display properly. So if everything looks plugged in right, then try plugging in a composite video (Yellow) or S-video cable switching to the appropriate input, and see if the image is still red. If so, go to the set up and set the set to factory defaults, and see if that fixes the color issue, It's possible that the color settings on the TV are messed up, with the S-video plugged in go through the set up menu and see if you can correct the color issue IF THE IMAGE IS STILL RED WITH THE S-VIDEO OR COMPOSITE VIDEO, otherwise the issue is a problem with the component video cable.

Mitsubishi VS-50501A convergence problem. The image looks like a bow tie and the convergence will not align. This TV only has manual convergence. I already replace the STK391-020 ICs, it has 3 of them....

These sets need to have all three colors - RED - BLUE - GREEN - lined up correctly on the screen in order for the picture to look normal. When its out of alignment the video will look 3-D, wavy, distorted, etc. Most of the time you just need to adjust your convergence in the menu. If you cannot adjust it in the menu - then your convergence is broken and needs to be repaired.

Convergence problems are very common on all Projection TV sets including Sony,Samsung, JVC, Philip Magnavox, Panasonic, Akai, Pioneer, Hitachi, Zenith, and others. You can get a convergenece repair kit wiith instructions from the links below.

if you did not see the picture on the blue tube; that is your problem -- the drive signal is not getting to the video amp and the mixed color from the green tube and the red tube is giving you a different color wich is unnormal. a good picture is when the 3 crt are emitting the video

Screen lookes like colores separating

This is what is known as convergence. a projection tube ussally has three picture tubes.. red green blue. they all have to align. the concave picture indicates complete loss of convergence or convegence power supply. First question on these sets Do you have the convergence option in the customer menu under setup. if you do not this is a indication of the common "FL231 fuse problem" and inexpensive simple repair. I have wrote and artilcle on this under my tips and trick section. If you do have the option then next does autoconvergence work. in you case i would not think it work. under blue and red manual convergence does the crosshairs move. if not then this is indication of convergence power supply board. if they move at all this may indicate a convergence amplifer problem.

Your convergence amps are bad. Replacement is necessary and I would recommend contacting a servicer in your area. You can find an authorized JVC serivcer at this link http://maps.jvc.com/cAscList/
