You need to make sure the parking brake lead is hooked up from the radio to the parking brake, and that the parking brake is engaged.

My dvd & usb is not working. Everytime i put a dvd in or try and use the usb a blue screen appears and says WARNING PLEASE STOP WATCH VIDEO PLAYER.

the parking brake wire must be connected to the parking brake system of you car. When the parking brake is engages, the LCD will be allowed to view your video. If not, the screen will produce an image saying, parking brake. this is a feature designed for the driver not to watch a video while driving. The video output on this unit will not be affected by this, el wire to connect is Pink - parking brake. this is wire connect with ground.

I lost user manual for Performance Teknique ICBM-9493TV Car Video

Yo I have a icbm 5254 in dash monitor and in order to bypass the parking brake security, splice the wire that's marked "park brake"(mine is Pink, yours may be Orange, but it'll be the oddball colors) into the acc or aux wire(usually yellow) and it'll play dvd while moving. Hope this has been helpful.

IVA D300 problem

in order to see the movie you have to first push the foot brake, then engage the parking brake, then while continuing to push the foot brake, release and re-engage the parking brake. that should get the movie going.

Parking Brake

If it is a GMC Canyon, then the wire is light blue at the brake pedal harness. Be sure to test this wire before connecting as this wire will test 12V+ when the pedal is pushed in. The parking brake wire is also light blue and can be found at the parking brake switch. Peripheral electronics makes a box called a PTR-7 which can be connected to the alpine and serves the purpose of the brake connections for the video bypassing of the unit. Hope this helps.

Bypassing car dvd parking brake

Usually the wire should be grounded. Connect the wire to a ground point via a switch (is illegal to watch TV/DVD while you're driving)

I got a ?

Hi,

Normally, the emergency/parking brake has to be activated/engaged for the video player to operate.

By bypassing, you are simulating this condition even if in reality, the emergency/parking brake is not activated/engaged.

Solution > ground the video player's brake sensor wire rather than connect it to its intended connection point.

In some brands/model/versions of the video player, this would be light green (Pioneer, Clarion, JVC), green (Kenwood),

In some other rands/model/versions of the video player, there would be a bypass switch underneath a sticker, others would need a special adapter, still others have bypass option/feature in the menu/setup and some would require a toggle switch that would connect the dvd brake wire from positive to ground.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. A reminder pls, in some regions bypassing is not allowed.

Good luck and kind regards.
