I have set the date/time stamp several times. It will work for several days and then is gone. I changed the battery for the date/time function and it still will not stay set to the correct date and time-HELP

My problem is the opposite. How do I get rid of date and time on my photos? I want to view them on TV, but without the information. There is nothing in the information pack. There must be a way but I cant find it.

Also will this show up on photo prints? I hope not I have about 800 shots!

  • Anonymous Jun 06, 2008

The date will not stay set. Some times it will set for a few on off cycles, but then you turn it on and its back to zero looking to be set.

Each time I turn on the power to the camera it asks for time & date info to be entered. I enter it & it retains it until the camera is powered off, but next time the camera is turned on, the info needs to be re-entered.

If you are trying to get the date/time displayed in your images, you need to set the recording size (L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard) to Postcard. You also need to turn the Date Stamp on in the Recording Menu (Use the Menu button, select the recording tab -- silhouette of a camera, and scroll down to Date Stamp).

There is a button cell battery "CR1220" which needs to be changed. Check the solution on www.cannon.com for instructions

Time and date resetting constantly...

This camera has a separate date battery. Lift up the small rectangular cover next to the main batteries. A small CR1220 battery maintains the date. Replace it and you should be OK. I just discovered this on the Canon web site.

Canon sd 750 how to put the date in the picture?

here is the solution:
The date and time can be included on the pictures taken only with the camera in postcard mode. You must also activate the date stamp option in the menu.
To set the camera into postcard mode, press the [Func.] button on the camera, then use the [arrow down] key to go down to the last option in the menu, and there you can choose the [Postcard mode]. Press [Func.] again to exit the function menu.

Print date/time on pictures

The camera does not add the date and time to the image itself, but rather saves it in the file as it does other information.

When printing a picture you can select that you wish to add a date/time stamp.

You have to select 'Postcard' for the image size -- on the same menu as L, M1, M2, M3, S, Postcard.

Powershot A720 Date Function

Do you want date/time stamp?

If so, you will have to be in postcard resolution.
To achieve this you will put your camera in shooting mode, hit function/set button, arrow down to bottom left corner where you will see L, M, S and postcard modes. Select the one that looks like a postcard.

Hit function/set to get out of there. Now hit menu and go to setup menu (tools) and arrow down to date stamp and make sure it's on date and time.

images shot in this resolution will look good as 4x6 prints, but should not be printed any larger or they will look pixelated, not good quality for larger prints.

Either that or you can add date and time in the Zoombrowser program that came with your camera should you need larger prints with date/time stamp.

I hope this helps!
