Hello sir, i hav LG CRT 15" monitor. After turning on, its LED continuous blinks and power button does not work and displays nothing. so plz suggest me what should be deffect?

Any 15-inch CRT-style monitor should be replaced by a 15-inch or 17-inch LCD-style monitor. You can find "previously-owned" monitors for $30 to $50, which is less than taking your CRT monitor to a TV/video repair-shop for an *attempt* to get it repaired.

It sounds as though the power supply for the monitor has a problem - it may be a capacitor that is failing. It is obviously trying to turn on but the voltages are not right. The simple solution may be to replace the power supply board, but take it to a reputable electrical/electronic repair man.

Sir,
there could be two possibilties for that
1 That your serial cable is not working or have broken pin .
&
2 Another is that you monitors picture tube has got damaged or burnt.

Usually it is second reason it can be repaired but is more expencive so i would prefer buying new one.

1. cheak the filament path diode,capacitor.

2. there is dry points in power section.

3. replaced 3842 IC supply capacitor 47/100v.

4. LOT sarounds. if in case near to lot one resistor burnt (12k ohm ) change the lot & capacitors,resistor
