In72 does not power up. I think that it is a blown fuse. Where is this fuse located

if there are no leds lit on the top, then it's a power supply issue. open it up and check the fuse on the power supply (next to where the cord plugs in). if the fuse is ok, you'll have to replace the power supply. you can get parts from an infocus service center or send it to them to repair. either way, try www.avsolutionsny.com. they're really good.

No power

hi: first you will need open the monitor , them look for the power supplu board and with a multimeter measure the out put you shoud have 12v and 5v , if some of this voltage is missing your problem is the power supply board , you can try to fix it or buy a new board and remplace yours, now if you have the output voltage look for the power botton and take a measure in paralle with the switch you need to have there 5v if don't first check that the led is working fine because one i found the led bad and that was the problem , but that depend of the manufacturer construcction . if that led is fine your problem is a litter bit more complicate due that the problem will be on the logic board best solution buy a new logic board and remplace yours. best regards italocub

Can't source or use any buttons on the unit or remote..

Sounds like a hardware failure. Have a technician look at it.

Replacement or buying a new one?.

Hi, this seems to be lamp only, go the menu setup and press service info : then you get the lamp hours used if it is more then 1500 hrs you must change the lamp if less, try cleaning filter then reset the lamp again. if problem persist. lamp has to be changed.

IN72 Projector problem

My understanding when we purchased our IN72 2 years ago is that there wasn't any additional benefit for Cable box using HDMI since the IN72 does not transmit audio so using component cables for cable was optimized enough. We have our DVD player connected via the HDMI only. Possibly the transmission from cable box through an HDMI is not compatible audio is confusing it? hard to say. Cable HD channels look awesome thru the compenent cables, the max for IN72 is 480i anyway.

We've got 35 ft cables for all 3 hdmi, compenent, and that vcr one too and it's worked great.

Thanks for the reply :)

Hi,

It could be the grinder or power board that is the problem, if it was my machine i should replace the grinder.

Try to set power to the grinder, look at the grinder to make sure what volt it should have before you by a new. If the grinder start when you power it then i think your power board must be replaced.

Let me know if i can help you more.

Best regards

Bulb failures

I experienced the same thing, only to discover it was the ballast that powers the lamp. I believe INFOCUS repairs for $390.00 per the technician that I spoke with on the phone at INFOCUS.

IN72

Hi TheMull

I also checked and the fuse looked fine , but I thought to myself why not take a chance and replace the fuse as this is a very cheap part , and it worked.

Infucos IN72 projector

Hi Ronnel

This is a common Mainboard failure on a Projector.

The unfortunate thing is that the Mainboard will either have to be repaired or replaced.

Infocus IN72 powers up but no image, replaced the bulb but still no image...

Hi there

This is most probably a Ballast ( lamp's powersupply ) problem.

Make 100% sure that this unit is out of warranty because InFocus Projectors come out standard with a 2 year warranty.
